With its extensive USB mass storage connectivity, the iCDX can be used as a vehicle to manipulate and store MP3 files -- facilitating rapid access to a massive music library. To further its USB connectivity, the iCDX comes complete with an adaptable docking station for iPod. When used with personal computers and software, the iCDX can interface with a wide variety of popular DJ software packages. Complete with an illuminated CD/DVD drive for playing multiple disc formats and support for MP3, including ID tags, hot starts, seamless looping, and scratching, the compact iCDX offers DJs a higher level of control for playing music. This performance-oriented media player includes DSP effects, a touch sensitive scratch wheel, automatic BPM counter, a digital output, and a large LCD screen. Associated with the iCDX's pitch function is Key Lock -- with a range of +/- 100%. For working with tempo, the iCDX give DJs all the control they could possibly want. This powerful player provides an automatic BPM counter, and a manual tap function. Further, the feature-packed iCDX includes a generous assortment of integrated, great DSP effects, including Phaser, Filter, Flanger, Echo, Chop, and Pan.

Feature: advertised as a cd turntable to play all of your digital music including your ipod. However, users need to be careful and read which generation ipods will work with the icdx. i know mine didnt. but being able to use flash drives and mp3 cds is such a great feature of this product. bpm counter is nice addition but sometimes is a lil slow. onboard effects are great, plus the looping, hotcue and sampling modes are great. Ease of Use: other than having difficulty trying to work my ipod with it i found it very easy to use. plug it in and start playing around to get what you want. Quality: looks super nice. finished well, sturdy. the jog wheel seems a lil plastic but still is very sturdy. nice and heavy. Value: for an entry level cd turntable it's got some great features for the price. Manufacturer Support: contact once with the ipod connectivity dilemna. the first guy to help me sent me blind links through email. that was not very fun. called and spoke to a guy that really didnt feel like taking the time to help me. the website is kind of helpful with information, plus you can upgrade quite easily, but it took the customer service rep on the phone to tell me where to go on the website to upgrade and other things. The Wow Factor: it's got some flashy features, looks pretty space age with all its lights blinking and flashing.

zZounds has verified that this customer bought this product from us. "This would of been a good option, if the CDJ 400 haven't come out."
Sound: compared to a denon s3500, it doesn't sound quite as good, its alright. but not awesome Feature: The features defenitely have to be the icdx strong points, the ability to play of thumb drives, control midi applications, and read DVD's is a plus. Not to mention the Combination of Loops, Hot Cues, and Samples, definitely stands out from the rest, but aside from the other standerd options. The only flaw that hurts this unit is the most important thing - The Jog Wheel - it just doen't feel right, though not as bad as others in its price range it could be better. Ease of Use: It took me a couple hours to get the feel and understand how the buttons and featues worked, the loops switch can be intuitive but it can be a pain to get it to loop correctly sometimes. but once you get used to the way numark does things, the workflow isn't to shabby. Quality: Ovarall the Icdx feels solid, with its rubberised sides its look like it can take a hit or two, the only down, once AGAIN is the jogwheel it just feels wrong and cheap, but then again, feel is subjective. my only question is why Numark always put cheapass faders on their products if your gonna charged me half a grand for a player at least put some decent faders on it. Value: Compared to other products in its price range as in know, in 2008, there are better options for a couple extra Jefferson's. Manufacturer Support: Dont know, Hopefully i wont need them in the future. The Wow Factor: This player would have been a good option for a mid range deck, if the CDJ 400 hadn't come out, no i dont want it, not nomore. Overall: My advice is this, if you want a player for mixing and looping purposes not SCRATCHING, and overlooking its minor quibbles and ulgy faders, then the ICDX will do, but if you can afford a extra $100 bucks, maybe cheaper if you know where to look, then just Get a CDJ 400 and Forget it'. Capish'
