Product Description

Finally there is guitar software as creative as you are. Progression features thousands of real electric and acoustic guitar samples from Neil Zaza, and electric bass and drums samples from Grammy Award winners Victor Wooten and Roy "FutureMan" Wooten. Guitar and bass amp simulators are included, and VST-hosting capability enables you to use your own effects plug-ins, and amp modelers to give you complete control over the guitar tone. You can quickly enter guitar tablature or standard notation with your keyboard and mouse - or you can play your music on a MIDI guitar or MIDI keyboard and Progression notates your performance for you. Make changes to the guitar tablature and the notation automatically updates, and vice-versa.

Hear your creations with professional studio-quality sound: each string has been sampled individually up the fretbaord with multiple dynamic layers to deliver impeccable realism. Progression's sample library includes electric and acoustic guitar, electric and upright bass, drum set, piano, clavinet and Fender Rhodes(R) keyboard. With the built-in FX editor, you can send tracks through numerous amp models, cabinet, and digital effects including reverb, chorus, and delay - or use your own VST effects. You can even experiment with amp tubes and components to create your own amp.

Overall: Progression is a great writing tool. I have been testing and composing on it for a few months now. The sounds are amazing. You can get great tones through the amp simulation or just the natural sounds of the acoustic instruments. Easy note entry and sound customization makes it a simple to compose a whole song. If your familiar with tab, the tab feature allows you to get your guitar parts in with all the bends, slides, hammer-ons and pull-offs. Progression even comes with a chord and beat library if you need some inspiration to “get the ball rolling.” All of the instruments included in Progression (keyboards, bass, and drums) give you the ability to write for instruments you may not play! The save as audio feature makes it easy to export your whole song or just parts of it as a .wav file to share with friends or band-mates. If you are looking for an easy to use music creation tool with great sound quality, take a look at Progression.
