I think everything I have said above explains it all. Windscreen sucks, feedback sucks, range is awesome, sound is awesome.
Sound
Sound is good, I am not a vocalist so talking time is limited. As with most lapel mics, feedback is an issue. You have to turn up the gain to get sound, but you must be careful as feedback will creep in.
Features
I have also used this to make my active speakers wireless. Seems to put the full range through. Sounds great. I wish the body pack had a volume control that could easily be changed. You have to open the cover and adjust with small screw driver.
Ease of Use
Up and running in 2 minutes. Super easy, can't imagine any mic like this being hard to use.
Quality
Base unit has an odd coating, like a non slip surface. I like it. The only problem I have is the windscreen from the mic comes off all the time. I always seem to be looking for it. I might get some glue and glue it on.
Value
This is the first lapel mic I I have owned. But not the first wireless mic I have had. Range on this device is incredible. I walked about 490 feet from the base unit (almost but not quite line of site) and it still worked. For the price, it gives you quite a bit. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this brand and model again, but I think I will opt for the headset version.
The Wow Factor
I will be purchasing another one of these, although it may be the headset version (same thing just different mic portion.)
