"MG50DFX is MY Marshall"

Feature:
It comes with a channel select and a DFX (digital effects) on/off footswitch. I has many different effects digitally created at Marshall's factory in England. It also has an independantly controlled reverb to give you that "stadium" effect. The FDD is amazing! It gives your amp that responsive feel of marshall stacks in a small combo amp.

Quality:
It's good and heavy; so, don't plan on carrying it around all day by yourself. It could take a beating, and keep on shredding. If for some reason it doesn't, there's a 5 year warranty to fall back on. In my experience, you'll never need it; but, it's there for you.

Value:
I bought mine for $400 bucks and it's worth every penny!

Desirability:
It's a marshall. Guys that don't even play through them use them as stage props because of how they look.

Sound:
This amp sounds amazing. I went from my Fender Frontman 15 with an Ibanez SM7 Smashbox distortion pedal, and I'm not looking back. First thing that I noticed was a lot deeper tone. The clean of this amp is just as good if not better than the bell like Fender clean tones. It's got so many controls that if you don't know what sound you're looking for, you could be totally lost. If you're a fan of rock/metal/grunge you'll definately love this amp.

Ease of Use:
This amp sounds good no matter where it's at, basement, on stage, or backstage. It's got so many different sounds that it can produce that you'll definately be able to adjust it to your specific style.

Support:
Marshall is one of the number one customer friendly companies that I've encountered. They're there to help you get exactly what you want out of the amp. If they've made an error, they fix it. No run around, no crap.

Overall:
This is my amp. I'm never going on tour, nor am I going to play Madison Square Garden. This amp will do everything that I need it to do. I can do my small part just fine without a backup amp and I've never heard any complaints, (except when my wife wants me to turn it down.)

there coulda beena couple more features but whos complaining when you get all the those effects for the size and price

I just got this amp last weekend used but it still sounds beautiful. the effects are so great and for the price its unbeatable

simple basicly. i guess it deppends on your style of playing. the overdrive channel is sick but id suggest getting a footswitch

overall its a great jam/ small gig amp for any playing style whether your a metal head or blues lover or a country lover. marshall MG has you covered

Each footswitchable channel has its own set of tone controls for maximum flexibility. As well as producing great clean sounds, when you crank up the Clean channel's Gain control you get a raunchy, blues-tinged crunch. As you'd expect from a Marshall, the Overdrive channel has Gain to spare and also boasts the now legendary Valvestate style Contour control, which allows you to "scoop out" or "fill in" the all important mids. The specially voiced DFX section offers Chorus/Delay, Delay, Chorus and Flange effects, plus a natural sounding digital Reverb with its own individual Level control. Add to this our revolutionary FDD, footswitchable channels, a Serial Effects loop and Speaker Emulated Headphones and Line Out, plus a CD input, which allows you to plug in a CD or cassette player and jam along with your favourite artist or band and you have an unbeatable package for the price.
