Description
News
The DX1RGT represents the first gloss top offering in the affordable and hugely popular X Series. Each solid Sitka spruce top is finished to a high polished gloss, not only for aesthetics but for wear properties and surprisingly enhanced tonal response. Mini Style “28” fingerboard inlays executed in white Boltaron grace the fingerboard of black Micarta, a material that resembles ebony in appearance and durability. The back and sides are constructed with rosewood pattern high pressure laminate (HPL), and the Stratabond neck is carved with a sleek modified low oval neck shape for fast and easy playability.

Martin DX1RGT Solid Top Acoustic Guitar Reviews

2 People rated this product :

"You've got to try this guitar!"
Feature:
No Accesories to mention

Quality:
Quality is awesome with one exception. The Martin logo is just some gold letters that somehow adhere to the wood and has started to come off. That really blows. But I can live with it.

Value:
This product was well worth the price and I was surprised at the low price compared to the High quality of the sound and as well as the great look of this particular instrument.

Desirability:
It has an awesome look and the wood grain stands out.

Sound:
Full Tone. Goes great with the all songs I play. Have to Takamines it is better than both. And I hold them in high regard. Picked this over a Taylor it was so similar in sound and ease to play. Price was much more reasonable as well. I am very particular and expect a smooth full sound when playing.

Ease of Use:
Sounds great plugged or not. I added a Humbucking pickup. I get compliments on the sound of this guitar every time i play.

Support:
Have not attempted to get support.

Overall:
I will not search for a replacement. Would be hard to find for the value. May purchase another at some point.

"What a pretty guitar!!!"
Feature:
It features what a guitar usually features. it has a neck which iv felt like choking many times thats forsure...what more should i say, its a guitar...i just go by feel and sound, but in that case...id have to rate this thing a 0 for...but since im a reasonable guy...

Quality:
ya ok its good quality, interesting finish, solid spruce top, ya ya ya, its a guitar, not for a beginner..hey a point there! Its a fair guitar..nothing to write home about..everything on this guitar is in its right place, and for me everything on this guitar will be MORE SO in its right place once i sell it and get it out of my life!

Value:
depends who you are and what you want ..that will determine this things value...its too personal a thing to set a value mark for a guitar that will be viewed upon differently form person to person..to me it isnt valuable at all...i dont and wont ever use this thing so how valuable can it be? but hey maybe you will(oy)

Desirability:
i cant possibly want it any less at the moment! i want it OUT OF HERE AND HEAR!!!!

Sound:
The sound of this guitar is simply nice, the quality is certainly fair at least..but a little too "thin" for my taste...would possibly be ideal w/o the lovely finish on the front (which holds sound in)...some thing about the sound i find is attractive where at the same time i find it unsettling. Not impressed whatsoever with the sound of this guitar, though keeping in mind, it is always a matter of personal taste when it comes the guitar...still, iv played better for cheaper (not that price should "really" matter if you can actually be so fortunate enough as to find the guitar of your dreams.

Ease of Use:
well im a pretty good player ya know, soli songwrite who learned on acoustic..so sure i know how to play guitar so therefore i could also assert that yes this guitar is "playable" action aint bad, weird thing is that for me anyway, it starts off buttery and easy to play then all of the sudden im unconfortable with it...hmmm, maybe i just dont like this guitar ya think?

Support:
well im still paying monthly on it so i can give myself a 10 for reliability...hey im the best what can i say :)

Overall:
Theres just no magic in this guitar, and IMHO id venture to say that the better a songwriter and performer you are..on this guitar (in contrast)it wont live up to it...however if you simply suck then you got a shot to con this guitar (and the listener) into feeling something special there since uv blurred the "potential" of this lackluster acoustic. Maybe when i haphazardly stumbled upon it i wasnt playing my best and sooooo...Mr Martin must have sounded alot better than me that day (HEY I LIKE TO GIVE OTHERS THE BENIFIT OF THE DOUBT OK!!!!)And if you know me, you know i get emotionally attached too quickly and thusssss it never works out (much like my last couple relationships...) some things just dont always play the way you want them too! :D
