"A must!"

Feature:
Pretty basic and standard which is just right.

Quality:
I've put my original through hell and it's still fine.

Sound:
I own an original SD-9 from back when they were under Ibanez. It's the greatest distortion/overdrive pedal I've ever heard or owned. Anyone thinking it's just a rip off of the TS-9 is misinformed. It's got everything the TS-9 has and more! I've played through one of these new ones and from what I can tell they're pretty close to the originals. It sounds killer as the battery gets a little older. If you've got a "pedal power" supply try it with the power dim on it. Good stuff. In my experience it sounds best through a Marshall or a Mesa. It sounded good through a Fender but not nearly as good as the other two.

The SD-9's unique Low Boost/High Boost Tone control offers more low-end beef than other pedals, while its Distortion and Output controls can provide up to 55dB of gain boost.

At low gain settings the SD-9 functions perfectly as a full-frequency overdrive.

Higher gain settings turn it into a hand-held monster; providing gut-wrenching grind and singing sustain that will make a clean amp dirty and a dirty amp downright evil.
