Build a professional PA system with the Mackie SRM650s. These powered speakers have tough all-wood cabinets and custom 15" drivers for huge low-end punch.

Pushing 1600 watts through a 15-inch high-output LF driver, the Mackie SRM650 powered speaker delivers thumping bass when you need it. With its large 15" woofer, the SRM650 offers more bass response than its sibling speaker, the SRM550. As a PA speaker on the dance floor, or as monitor for a DJ or bassist, the Mackie SRM650 really shines! The SRM650 also makes an excellent satellite top to pair with an external subwoofer in a full-range setup.

As part of the SRM series, it employs the latest innovations in Mackie's patented high-definition audio processing systems, and offers truly exceptional sound clarity. These speakers really must be heard to be believed!

DJ Joe Bunn shares why Mackie SRM650 loudspeakers are a crucial part of his setup:

1600 Watts Through a 15-inch Driver

The LF driver in the SRM650 is a 15-inch speaker with a 3-inch voice coil. It employs an all-ferrite magnet and a paper diaphragm. The HF driver is a 1.4-inch titanium dome tweeter.

Two Separate XLR-1/4" Combo Inputs, Plus RCA Ins

The I/O section on the rear panel gives you 2 x XLR-1/4-inch combo jacks for handling a variety of inputs. Each has its own Gain control. The 2nd input also has stereo RCA jacks.

Feedback-Destroying, Speaker-Protecting DSP Onboard

The Mackie SRM series benefits from the presence of their proprietary High-Definition Audio Processing. This works actively to assure smooth frequency read more response during your performance. The system is further reinforced by the SmartProtect DSP that monitors for level surges that might damage your amp or speakers, and de-attenuates the signal accordingly. A super useful and effective Feedback Destroyer is accessed via the rear panel.

Speaker Modes for Every Application

PA Speaker Mode: This mode is full range, but focuses on mid-range clarity where vocals often reside.
Soloist Speaker Mode: This mode features a low frequency roll-off to get rid of unwanted thumps and adds boost and sparkle to mid-range and high frequencies. This mode is perfect for plug-and-play singer-songwriters.
DJ Speaker Mode: This mode bumps the lows and highs with a mild tuck to the mids, perfect for music playback.
Monitor Speaker Mode: This mode features a low frequency roll-off and a reduction around 2 kHz to ensure maximum gain before feedback in monitor applications.

Wood Cabinets Built to Last

The cabinets are an all-wood design. They're internally braced to be super strong and resist damage and wear on the road. The trapezoidal design makes it great as an onstage monitor for guitarists, keyboardists, or vocalists.

I had a pair of Mackie Thumps that I used with my SRM 1801's and had to be carefull because they kept redlining and would clip in around 2 1/2 hours or so, and I happen to own a QSC k-10 which put both of them to shame, therefore I knew it was time to upgrade and had QSC in mind but wanted to stay with Mackie to match my subs and soundboard. Well I did some research and there really weren't many reviews here on the new SRM 650's but I went ahead and ordered them to try out with ZZOUNDS 12 mos. payment plan and broke them in the moment they arrived at a gig that same day...I have to give it to Mackie on this one ! Clean and crisp highs with tight bass ! I lowered the bass on the subs and the party sounded clean and never once did I clip nor have any issues, QSC K series are awesome but for the money these Mackies gave them a run for the money, I'm satisfied and am glad I didn't have to change over. I would highly recommend especially if your trying to keep a reasonable budget, a 15 inch QSC woulda cost me as much as both of my SRM 650's.
