Studio-Quality Sound in a World of Honky, Disgusting PA Speakers.

The SRM350 brings studio-monitor sound quality to a world inundated with big, inefficient PA speakers. This 2-way bi-amplified active loudspeaker easily out-performs the competitions' larger active models thanks to the combined efforts of the Mackie Active Engineering and world-class EAW Loudspeaker Design teams. With innovative Dynamic Bass Boost for full sound at all volume levels, a Contour control for precision response, and - most importantly - award-winning Mackie Active speaker design, the SRM350 is in a class all its own.

Does the SRM350 use the same "active" technology as the SRM450
Yes, with some important additions. For starters, the SRM350 gives you a Dynamic Bass Boost in its onboard electronic EQ. Technically, Dynamic Bass Boost is a 70Hz band-pass filter that adjusts itself according to volume level. This means that the SRM350's bass response is loud and full, whether you're playing back CDs at low levels or jamming with a full band at full tilt.

Another component is a Contour control, which you can switch for added bass and high-end (perfect for playing back program material in DJ applications). Of course, the SRM350 also includes the built-in equalization, phase alignment, electronic crossover and protection circuitry that have made Mackie the industry leader in active loudspeaker technology.

Is the SRM350 "flyable"?
Yes, using a fly mount accessory plate (sold separately), you can fly the read more SRM350s to the moon*. There are multiple fly points for easy and secure hanging beneath the top handle and bottom pole mount. The SRM350 can also be pole mounted and don't forget that the enclosure is also designed for simple floor monitor placement.
*Not really.

How much power does it have?
The SRM350 delivers 195 watts of total power (30W x 165W) with a 121dB peak SPL. This is flat-out amazing for a 10-inch 2-way active system. In fact, we encourage you to compare the SRM350's sound quality to larger models from our competitors. We think you'll agree that SRM350s sound noticeably better.

How much does this thing weigh?
It weighs in at just 32 lbs. So with its built in handles, the SRM350 is extremely portable, making it the perfect active loudspeaker for many different applications.

What else is new inside the SRM350
An Active Protection Management System has been added for enhanced performance and reliability. This new system employs both input limiting and variable thermal response so that the speaker always sounds great, even under brutal usage. Temperature is constantly monitored and the system is continually adjusted to keep things at the desired operating level, so the system never needs to shut down to cool off!

If I were to replace these speakers, I'd buy the same item again. I'm very pleased with them. I haven't seen or heard a better system anywhere in this size range.
Sound
For my needs, the sound of this system is excellent. I run several mics, a Gibson Songwriter Deluxe, and an Alesis SR-16 thru a Mackie DFX-12 mixer and then through these speakers. Sound is clear with much richer bass than you'd expect from a 10" speaker. Better sound than many 12" or larger speakers that I've heard.
Features
Contour control is nice for low volume use.
Ease of Use
I don't know how it could be any easier to use... Relatively light weight makes setting them up a breeze. Instructions are very clear.
Quality
Very sturdy construction. Perfect fit / appearance on everything.
Value
These speakers are a little more pricey than others in their size range, but well worth the extra cost. Your ears can tell the difference.
Manufacturer Support
I really can't fairly evaluate this one. I've never contacted Mackie. I love their sense of humor in the owners manuals.
The Wow Factor
Sure it looks nice, but nothing extra ordinary here.
