The Lanikai LKP-T Koa Tenor Ukulele Package is the perfect choice for any beginner player who wants everything needed to get started. This package includes a well appointed Koa tenor uke with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, gold plated die cast tuning machines, abalone rosette, body binding and fingerboard board inlays, a gig bag, instructional booklet, and a clip-on tuner. A custom wide bone nut was used to increase the string spacing, making these ukuleles more comfortable for guitarists who are trying out the ukulele for the first time. Sound: This Uke, while not solid wood, plays well, good intonation, and the volume has to be heard to be believed. It is an impressive instrument and I feel it to be well worth the money... I rated the sound as a 9 because I really don't believe there is any such thing as a 10 so you can interpret that as you would like. Here are the positives in my opinion: 1. Laminate - More rugged and less to worry about cracking, etc. 2. Sound - This sounds great and has ample volume. 3. Construction - Well Made with quality parts 4. Overall - Well worth the money Just to elevate it a little more, I added a Mi-Si Acoustic Trio preamp so now when plugged in it should really get out there. Feature: Couldn't ask for more... It has everything you need. Quality: Taking everything into account (Cost, construction, etc) Manufacturer Support: A 10 here because these people really seem to care and be customer driven. The Wow Factor: The koa in this instrument really looks gos when compared (in person) to others costing 2-3 times as much. Overall: Until they make a million dollar Uke and sell it for this price
