Lanikai Concert Curly Koa Ukulele

No longer available at zZounds
Built from eye-catching Hawaiian koa wood, the Lanakai Concert Curly Koa Ukulele gives you the perfect tone: not too bright and not too mellow.

Used to make ukuleles for over a century, rare Hawaiian koa is especially prized for its distinctive curly grain. Grown mostly on the big island of Oahu, the gorgeous red-hued wood used for Lanikai's Curly Koa makes these ukuleles look as beautiful as they sound.

I plan to keep this Uke for a long time. Should I become more proficient in playing it I may someday buy a solid Koa Ukulele and keep this one for a back-up.
Sound
I received my Uke today. It sounds very good to my untrained ear. I have just begun learning to play a Ukulele. It sounds better that my Fluke does.
Quality
This Uke seems very well made and solid. I will take it with me, in a case, wherever I go. It is a beautiful thing and I am very proud of it.
Value
It is well worth the price to me.
Manufacturer Support
Since it was made in China I have had no opportunity to deal with the company that made it. I am sure that I would be able to deal with zzounds, should the occasion arise.
The Wow Factor
When I saw the ad and picture I was obsessed with owning this Uke.

Musical Background:

I am now learning to play.

Musical Style:

Old time songs and some Hawaiian.
