"A little too much metal to handle"

Feature:
3 different types of distortion you can choose from. But when it comes right down to it, the only difference between the 3 types is the equalization, and not the core of the distortion.

Quality:
I think it's well built. Looks as tough as a rock. But looks can be Diseaving I had some problems with my Line 6 Tap Tremelo pedal, and had to get that fixed at Line 6. But this one hasn't given me any problem.

Value:
Uber Pricey. But for what it's worth, you're getting a little more than what you barganed for.

Desirability:
Looks very Awsome. I don't know any other company that makes pedals this bad ass

Sound:
This pedal sure lives by its name. Uber Metal, Witch of course means "above metal" in German. A little too much above metal if you ask me. Don't get me wrong, it packs a good punch when I'm performing in the studio. But when it comes to jamming with a few friends, I find it to be over distorted. Sure, the Drive knob can be lowered, but it can take away the sustained volume when holding a high note during a solo.

Ease of Use:
What would be so difficult about it? 6 knobs and 3 settings. If you're that stupid, than it's just a matter of listening with your ears and seeing what sound suits you best.

Support:
When you do bring in a broken product to Line 6. They don't nessessarely fix it. They just replace you with a new one.

Overall:
Like I said before. You're getting more than what you barganed for. Which is not nessessarily a good thing. Cuz the distortion can sometimes be too much for the average rocker. But this thing is good for what it's worth (not by price) in general. But being a long time customer of Line 6, I'm a little disapointed

?ber Metal brings you massive amounts of gain in one tiny, tough package. You can chose from some of the best Line 6 high-gain tones from HD147 and Vetta II including Metal, Pulverize, and Insane. Also included with the ?ber Metal is a built-in selectable noise gate, and scoop control for massive tonal contouring.

Features
Model Switch - Give this a flick to reconfigure the destructive power of ?ber Metal.

Metal - creates screaming distortion, from heavy grind to molten metal! Bow down, infidels.

Pulverize - gives you a distortion similar to a high-gain tube amp. Mmmm, it's warm and meaty!

Insane - has more skin-peeling gain and sustain than anything else available. For the inner Samurai-shredder in all of us.

Level - This sets the output level. Higher levels will hit the amp or effect fed by the ?ber Metal will more signal level, giving your more volume.

Mid & Scoop - Mid chooses a frequency from 250Hz to 4kHz. Scoop then removes sound at this frequency, with maximum scoop at the fully clockwise setting. Turn it fully counter-clockwise for a slight mid boost.

Drive - This controls the amount of distortion created within your ?ber Metal. Especially when you've got it set high, you may need to use the Gate to tame unwanted noise.

Bass & Treble - Bass and Treble are controls for your low and high frequencies.

Gate

Off - Disables the Gate.

Gate 1 - A soft and mild noise gate, self-adjusting to your current Drive knob setting.

Gate 2 - A heavy, fast-clamping gate. Great for those aggressive metal chords and palm muting.
