Drawing upon the design characteristics of their Expose E8B, the new VXT Series of monitors consists of 3 models -- the VXT4, VXT6, and VXT8. With a visually striking enclosure design that is equally functional -- providing low resonance, improved structural integrity and extended low-end, slotted ports for reduced port turbulence, plus a sleek curvature that provides excellent imaging characteristics and a wider "sweet spot" -- the VXT monitors achieve a new level of precision. "Huge sound from a tiny monitor, all at a great price"

Feature:
All that I need nothing I don't. They keep it simple with the v4. Connectivity is at a maximum. I use 2 3 foot unbalanced connection cables in my studio, but when I get to other studios, it's nice to be able to use an xlr or balanced trs in instead. Also I move my monitors a lot from the studio at which I work to my home studio and the compactness really matters. The input sensitivity is variably but recessed as to keep the level set right where you want it. The v4 also features switchable voltage for use in Europe

Quality:
The quality was a major buying point for me. I need to be able to take them wherever I am, and so far so good. The cabinets are reinforced to eliminate cabinet resonance and the enclosure feels like a brick it's so solid. The woofer sticks out a lot so you have to watch where you point them, but common sense is all that takes.

Value:
this is where these speakers accel. The sound is huge for a speaker of that size. Flipping Through the wide variety of reference monitors at my local reseller I accidentally ran across them and my jaw dropped in amazement. The speakers surrounding the v4s were all bigger but the sound from the v4 rang through as the biggest most pleasant sounding one of the bunch

Desirability:
I love the yellow kevlar cones and the finish is very pleasing. They are very practical and easy to set up and use.

Sound:
I love the v4, especially for its size. The stereo field is huge with an exciting sound that makes me want to play music and mix on them. Since they are slightly bass deficient (a 4 in woofer will do that), I plan on purchasing a subwoofer from krk in the future. These little speakers rock.

About This Product!
Description
There's big sound coming out of the V4 mini monitor. In KRK fashion, the V4 has separate amplifiers for both woofer and tweeter, which make it extremely clean and virtually eliminating any distortion. Video shielding is standard, making it an optimum choice for small audio workstations. A Neutrik Combo connector gives it ultimate flexibility for both balanced and unbalanced signals, it also gives you the option of using 3 different connectors (XLR, 1/4 in. TRS, or 1/4 in. Instrument). Paired with the S8 subwoofer, it just goes to show that good things do come in small packages!

About KRK Systems
KRK Systems was founded in 1986, by Keith Klawitter. He had been an engineer for years working on such films as "Brainstorm" and "The Doors." Frustrated by the fact he couldn't find a monitor that gave him clarity and accuracy, he began building his own monitors. Other engineers and producers began to take notice of Keith's high-end studio monitors, a groundswell began and a company was born. They also began commissioning him to build custom main systems as well. We attribute this remarkable beginning to Keith's affinity for electronics, his passion for music, and his originality and insight.

"It's the synergy of our vision, our real studio experience and our fanatical attention to quality that gives KRK its edge." - Keith Klawitter

The millennium has brought changes and growth to the company. KRK has become one of the most highly respected names in the studio world. Their products have earned an exclusive position along side the most elite audiophile-quality products. The finest components are combined with superior cabinet design, driver technology, crossover interfacing, and amplifier technology. For example the 5.1 surround systems are tolerance matched to within 0.05dB! KRK is now a Stanton company, and this gives KRK room to grow and achieve new heights. They're very excited about what the future holds.

The bottom line is your ears. They do exhaustive listening tests to insure what's going to tape or disc is what you're hearing through the monitors. More importantly, KRK Systems designs speakers that translate to the real world. When you mix on KRK speakers, you don't get any surprises when you play your mix on your car stereo.
