Ovation 8210 Molded Deep Bowl Acoustic Guitar Case

Basic hard shell case. Liked that it has a lock.

Quality:
The quality does look good. It looks like it would protect the instrument, but it doesn't matter since the guitar doesn't fit in the case.

Value:
Seems to be of good construction, but again, it doesn't matter if the guitar it is intended for doesn't fit.

Desirability:
Doesn't work for intended guitar.

Sound:
Not aplicable - this is a case.

Support:
No documentation was included. No contact information, phone numbers, manuals, etc. No findable website. I wouldn't even have known SKD made it except for an inspection slip in the case's accesory box.

Overall:
I've gotten and returned two of them now. The guitar this case is intended for does not fit. I have an Ovation deep bowl guitar, and Ovation recommends an 8210 style case for this model. In both the cases I've gotten so far, the guitar won't fit. The guitar has to be forced down into the case, hard enough that you feel like you will damage the instrument. Even then, the lid will not close properly. I had to force it down while pulling forward on it to get it to latch. When latched, the groves on the rims do not align because the guitar doesn't fit correctly. Feels like it's sprung. Overall, it feels like you will damage the guitar by putting it in the case instead of protecting it.
