Feature:
Features are standard on this until you hit the EQ button and then the magic happens. How do they do what they do? The connectors are simple mic cords hook ups (xlr). I couldn't hook it up wrong. The handles are strategically placed so that when you pick them up you don't fall over.
Quality:
JBL and Crown teaming up are you kidding!!!!!!! It's like meat and potatoes, carrots and peas, peanut butter and jelly how could you go wrong? After my younger rock days I went back and got my engineering degree and am a current quality manager for the US based earth moving company. One of the CEO band boys, not nearly as good as I used to be but the equipment is a dam sight better.
Value:
These are pricy and it is hard to describe the quality, workmanship, engineering to someone that has not used ordinary gear. But the money you spend for these things is something that young upstarts might avoid.
Desirability:
Depends on the person I guess, some people like the fuss of power amp racks, cords every where, crossovers that you sometimes miss the frequency on, not me. This system is clean, simple, and as our new guitar player put it, beautiful. The paired 18s (PRX518s) and uppers (PRX535s) look like someone new what they were doing.
Sound:
I've recently bought a pair of the 535s and a matching pair of powered subs. The sound quality without enhancement devices is superb. I've played pro some years back and am now getting that urge to rock again, tried to move a QSC 3X and through my back out., thank you Crown and JBL. The three channel crown is just pro quality, bar none.
Ease of Use:
Plug in and dream of rock stardom, of course you need to bring your own talent. My only complaint is that matching it with the subs there is no information. The store we bought these from recommends an additional pair of subs to go with these (of course he would an extra 2grand or so in his pocket). But was he telling the truth? Seems to me when we hooked it all up we had to back of the uppers about half so the subs could catch up.
Support:
Not had to use it yet.
Overall:
I expect to be to be satisfied with this system for a long time and will probably never have a different system. I hope we don't wear the system out, if we do, we'll have a good time doing it. I compared this system with the QSCs and found the sound and price comparable, the big differences is the extra 42 pounds the QSCs sport. Some may say they are louder and beefier, but I could not tell that in store where I test drove them side by side (Guitar Center Chicago).

Feature:
Built-in limiter. The amps run quite cool. Other than grill and connectors and controls on the back panel, there are no deep fins and/or vents to get dust in them. These things were built for dusty outdoor duty! (think BM and renegades)
Quality:
One of the sub's front panel indicator blinks in/out due to a loose connection. No effect on sound quality. This was after 20hrs of abuse with breaks, D&B & dubstep.
Value:
They rock, are built to take it, and will not disappoint.
Sound:
Excellent sonic clarity. Great outdoors. Quite portable and light weight for a high-end active PA. Pair these up with a pair of the matching 18" powered subs and you have a killer setup for whatever party you are throwing, in the club or a renegade outdoors. Mackie SA1232's sound just a hair better, but at 50lbs more... SPL is similar at lower power consumption, less generator fuel and/or smaller gennys.
Ease of Use:
Way easier than a PA/amp rig setup. No messing with crossovers. Dirt simple. Grab some XLR cables, extension cords, and GO!
Overall:
Considering the history of Mackie/EAW SA1232/SWA1801, etc., these will be mainstays of portable event setups and some club installations for some time. Especially geared toward mobile event promotion. A single person can rock the rig. Loud, clear, flat, reasonable cost, clean looks...people will be amazed at your sound. BTW, I rank Mackie a 9 'cause they are just too damn heavy and hard to clean!
