One name is synonymous with the utmost in high-performance guitar design--Jackson, the progenitor of all musical speed machines. Conceived as a launching platform for technically advanced guitar playing, the SLATTXMG3-6 Soloist is rife with Jackson's bloodline--sophisticated ergonomic design, ultra-fast playability and, of course, monstrous tone.

Dual graphite reinforcement rods run the length of the three-piece maple neck with speed profile to fortify it against the extremes of nature, buttressing it against warping while a speedy 12"-16" compound radius fingerboard creates the ideal playing surface for fat riffs and easy chording near the black plastic nut while gradually flattening in the upper registers for lightning-quick solos and wide bends without fear of fretting out. A pair of EMG active humbucking pickups--an 85 neck pickup and 81 bridge pickup -- generate versatile, huge and high output tones for brutal distortion and clear, crisp cleans. The Jackson adjustable compensated strings-thru-body bridge produces massive sustain, and when combined with the Jackson-branded tuning machines, rock-solid tuning stability along with precise intonation.

Classic Jackson appointments include the instantly recognizable piranha inlays, black hardware, single-ply neck binding and the Soloist's ergonomically arched top for playing blazing licks with comfort. Sleek, refined, and dangerous, the SLATTXMG3-6 Soloist is art brought to life, tempered with high-tech performance for the read more ultimate metal machine.

This guitar is the epitome of bang for your buck, it's a workhorse whether you're just a hobbyist like myself or a gigging musician this thing delivers. The gloss candy blue color pops on this thing, no dreary finishes here. All black hardware is a fitting look with it. It's a maple neck through basswood body loaded with EMG's and a tune-o-matic style bridge with string through body. (P.S. usually neck through guitars are reserved for higher end instruments which is what drew me to this guitar in the first place) Other than that build feature there's nothing super fancy just your standard fare but whats here works very well. The bound fretboard is quite nice, very smooth rosewood and nicely finished frets coupled with a compound radius is perfect whether you're a strummer or shredder. The neck shape is super fast, I liken it to an Ibanez Wizard neck without being quite as flat and very nice access to the upper frets (it being a set through neck) Sustain is great because of this also. If you're checking this thing out I assume you're familiar with EMG's already, powerful active pickups great for metal or any related genre. The only cons I could mention are personal preferences which are easily amendable, the cheap plastic nut, non locking tuning machines, and the neck having a matching gloss finish with the body. (I prefer satin necks for this style of guitar) All in all I enjoy playing this thing very much it's super comfortable and a great metal machine. I've not had any issues read more with it so i can't comment on Jackson's customer support but not having any problems is a good thing. Good value for your dollar here and it's a Jackson so the names got plenty of credit in the metal community something like 30+ years. Anyway thanks for reading if you did I'm going to go and jam now! \m/ \m/
