Unleash your creativity with the innovative Jackson Pro Series Soloist SL2 HT MAH. A high performance evolution of the electric guitar, this ergonomic instrument opens up new horizons of playability, resetting the bar of what's possible in guitar design.

Premium features include a resonant mahogany top and body and one-piece through-body maple neck with scarf joint and graphite reinforcement rods to provide stiffness and high stability, guarding against temperature- and humidity-induced bending and warping. The SL2's lightning fast 12"-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard (with 24 jumbo frets) is designed for highly technical lightspeed playing--more curved by the nut for comfortable chording, it flattens out as you move up the speedy neck (with hand-rubbed oil finish) for increasingly fast playing speed and wide bends without fretting out.

Chosen specifically for their incredible sound, a pair of modern Seymour Duncan Distortion humbucking pickups (TB-6 bridge/SH-6N neck) drives this guitar's voice, combining for highly balanced, flexible tone, with plenty of high output for pristine cleans and snarling distortion. Master volume and tone controls shape the pickups' output, which can be further refined with the three-position pickup toggle switch for the precise voice required to bring your musical vision to life, while a Jackson HT6 string-through-body hardtail bridge provides improved sustain.

I've had this guitar for about a month now so I feel comfortable giving it a review. I will never forget walking in to my local guitar shop quite a few years ago, and picking up my first Jackson. I fell in love instantly. The guitar seemed to fit me perfectly...and I'm big! The neck is what I loved the most. I think it was a DK2 from Japan. Well fast forward about 15 years and I've bought about 5 new Jackson's. This is my first Soloist. The price was right and I loved the wood grain look. Super fast compound radius ebony fret board makes playing the guitar easier. The construction (Indonesia) was not quite as good as the Japan Jackson's but very well built and set up well. The one issue I did have was with the finish. On a few spots I found a few small blemished areas. No big deal but I did contact zZounds and they promptly gave me a credit. You can't go wrong with zZounds folks...they are awesome. Overall this guitar plays wonderfully and sounds great.
