The Jackson Pro RR3 Randy Rhoads model has its roots in the very early days at Jackson. The late, great Randy Rhoads approached them with a design idea based on the classic "V". Together they created a whole new rock and roll icon. This version features an Alder body with a Flame Maple veneer top (on transparent finishes), Seymour Duncan humbuckers, a 25.5 in. scale bolt-on Maple neck and a compound radius Rosewood fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets. Also, black hardware including a Jackson Low Profile double locking tremolo. Made in Japan. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Jackson products.

"A guitar given by the god himself."

Sound: This thing sounds AMAZING! It has awsome sound out of any amp, even a little 10 watt practice amp. Feature: A double locking Floyd Rose-lisenced trem and ACTUAL Seymore Duncan pickups (not Duncan Designed) make it my favorite out of my guitars. The crimson swirl paint job is breath taking. I get so many compliments for it, it's crazy as hell! Ease of Use: It plays really smooth and feels nice. The ONLY downside of the entire guitar is that it's body shape makes it hard to play when you're sitting. Quality: The pickups are amazing, the trem works beautifully, and it just overall kicks ass. Value: For all the stuff on it and the price i paid for it, it was worth every cent! Manufacturer Support: What support? Don't need any. The Wow Factor: You know you want one. Overall: Overall, this is an amazing guitar. If it was good enough for Randy Rhoads (even though he didn't live to see it's production), it's good enough for anyone.

"You're Not Worthy!"

Sound: This guitar sounds great. I play it through a Digitech RP-80 on a small practice amp and it sounds like Randy Rhoads is right there with me. I'm sure plugged into a better amp would only make it sound even sweeter. Feature: Volume control for each pick up. Tone control and an easy to use pickup selector. Even a Metallica fan could figure this guitar out. Ease of Use: The neck makes this a great guitar. The Floyd Rose takes a little getting used to. It took me a while to set the guitar up (action, intonation, neck relief), but once you get it set up and locked down IT STAYS IN TUNE. Any tuning can be tweaked through the tremolo, but I rarely find it necessary. Word of caution... If you like to use different tunings (ie Drop etc.) I think that it would be hard to do with this guitar without unlocking the nut lock. Quality: Come on. It's a Jackson. Yeah I know that this one is made in Japan. So is my Lexus! Value: Like others have said. This is as close as you are going to get to an RR1 for under $1000.00 For the extra grand you could change pickups and put a Schaller Floyd Rose on it, but I don't think anyone would hear the difference. Manufacturer Support: I can only guess since I haven't needed any. The Wow Factor: I have the Crimson Swirl finish and it is breathtaking. To be honest, even though I am a huge Randy Rhoads fan, it takes a certain personality to pull off playing a V style guitar, and I ain't it. And for sitting down and practicing it is less than comfortable. But for shredding onstage infront of 10,000 people, you will not find a sexier machine (except an RR1). Overall: I will probably buy a Jackson Dinky to practice with, as I love the neck on these guitars. I don't need a 24 fret guitar (and honestly very few people can really pull that off), but for some it like the Marshall stack that goes to 11. This guitar has 22 Jumbo frets and it works well for me.
