ION Audio has created a revolutionary battery operated portable USB turntable allowing you to convert your old vinyl collection to CD or MP3 with included recording software. (No special drivers needed)

This turntable also has a line level output for connecting to any home stereo with an AUX input and a built-in speaker for stand-alone operation.

Ion Audio iPTUSB Customer Review
Sound: When connected by USB, is adds a background buzz that really intrudes on softer music (such as classical). Other than that, the sound quality is functional but nothing special. Midrange and treble sounds fine, but bass carries badly. Feature: Very well featured. Has every connection you could want, powered by battery or wall. Would have been nice if it had been supplied with phono plugs. Ease of Use: Easily configurable, but auto-start/auto-stop would have been nice, especially on something designed to archive Quality: Box itself is sturdy but turntable arm is flimsy plastic, and connectors are very poor quality, notably USB. Value: Hard to compare, it sounds like a record player that costs €50 less, except that it has USB Overall: Well-featured but cheap-sounding record player.
