Ibanez TS7 Tone Lok Tube Screamer Overdrive Pedal

No longer available at zZounds
Drive, Tone, and Level knobs.

For 3 decades Ibanez Electronics has created effects the working player could afford, but couldn't afford to be without. If your current boxes aren't having the right "effect" on you, it's time to "lock down" some new tones.

Others may imitate, but no one else can duplicate the Ibanez Tubescreamer. The Tubescreamer isn't just a stompbox, it's an institution. The latest generation Tubescreamer, the TS7, is no exception. With the Tubescreamer's classic subtle-but-smooth overdrive, the TS7 expands the expressiveness of your guitar while maintaining its tonal integrity. Tone adjustments are provided by the classic 3-knob configuration with an added "hot" switch for an extra gain boost. Like all Tone Lok pedals, the TS7 features their exclusive goof-proof Push Lok retractable knobs. Set it and forget it.

Drive, Tone, and Level knobs provide precise effect control.

On the outside, Tone-Lok effects are equipped with the Ibanez exclusive "set and forget" Push-Lok rotary pots. Push the knobs down and your tone settings lock securely inside the case. No more lost settings or knobs broken by ticked off lead vocalists stomping off stage.

On the inside, Tone-Lok pedals feature hi-fidelity components carefully tweaked with the constant input from a new generation of Ibanez players. And all this great stuff comes encased in a cool looking, road tough metal boxes at prices the working player can afford.

Operates on 9-volt battery or optional AC adapter.

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
I chose this product for its ability to maintain the integrity of its tones even when really crunching or popping solos. It is remarkably flexible in what it can do, and easy to determine what it cannot. If you want to go beyond the crunch that this can produce, then buy something specifically designed for that purpose to supplement this pedal. In concert with other pedals and effects, the range that this unit can produce is unbeatable. On its own, it is one of the best for doing what it is designed for.

Sound
This is a very flexible pedal. It creates anything from a mild blues overdrive effect to a solid crunch, all without losing any toneal qualities. For the price, this is the best pedal on the market!

Features
Effectvely, this is two seperate, high quality pedals. For those wishing to make a crisp, clear solo or a warm lower end crunch, this is a wondreful pedal. Like everything else, though, it has its limitations. If you are looking for something to take you completely over the edge for the heavy metal, grunge or punk sounds, look elsewhere.

Quality
Withstands punishment well. Very durable. No worries on wear and tear. High quality materials.

Value
I dig this pedal. It's amazing that it is sold at such a low price, because this is the best pedal for its price!

Manufacturer Support
Ibanez has a well-deserved reputation read more for good support. I have no experience with them with this particular pedal because it is made so well.

The Wow Factor
I'm not a big fan of silver. The lines are simple, and could be made more appealing by rounding edges and making the footswitch and controls more integrated into the body, as opposed to being additions that create a temporary or fragile appearance.
