Beneath the SR400BCW's handsome Claro walnut top lie two powerful CAP EXF-N2 pickups, arched in shape to take maximum advantage of each string's resonance.

The Ibanez SR400BCW is a handsome 4-string bass designed for the advanced player. At its core is a Mahogany body with a beautiful Claro Walnut top. Known for its stunning figuring, Claro is also prized for its warm, balanced tonal qualities. Other features include a sturdy 5-piece Maple/Rosewood SR4 neck, a Rosewood fretboard, and an Accu-cast B300 bridge for superior string vibration transfer and precise intonation.

For electronics, the SR400BCW features two CAP EXF-N2 passive pickups. Designed by Ibanez, the top of the CAP EXF-N2 is arched to mirror the radius of the fretboard. This positions each string equally distant from the pickup resulting in a more linear, balanced output. Equalization chores are handled by Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band eq. This allows the control to be more effective in creating useful, popular bass tones.

For 25 years the SR has given bass players a modern alternative. Embraced by bassists over the decades, the iconic series continues to excite with its smooth, fast neck, lightweight body and perfectly matched electronics.
