It's what you should come to expect from a low end guitar. The strings that come on it are so limp on the low notes that they barely have tension. Have no intentions at all of even tuning it even a half step lower. Doing so makes this guitar almost unplayable as the strings are pretty much falling off it. Reading around the internet will tell you that it's no secret that these guitar come stock with absolute garbage pickups. This is more/less accurate. Intend on replacing them right away. It comes with a pretty cool eq switch witch allows you to scoop out the mids. This feature I actually like. The finish on these guitars is absolutely stunning. I don't think they're going to pump these out anymore so if you can get one, do so. Absolutely stunning craftsmanship on the guitar. I can't stress that enough. Putting a sticker on this guitar should be a crime considering you pay extra for the finish. Really after maybe 200 extra bucks for new pickups and some strings this guitar is awesome. I'd recommend it if you have the time and patience to not love it immediately. I do wish though on that eq switch they'd cover it in some sort of black plastic to match the rest of the guitar. It really does at first glance look like you lost the tone knob since this guitar doesn't have one. The neck plays really nice as well. Going from a 7 string to this 8 string is actually manageable. practice some standard 6 string stuff to get used to the extra strings. It can be somewhat easy to get lost read more in the middle.
