The RGA archtop guitar not only has hot curves but playability. For live performance, its lightweight body gives players more freedom to prowl around stage. The arched top also lets players to knock down heavy riffs and power chords without hitting the guitar body. All told, curved beauty and great performance combine gracefully and powerfully in the RGA.

"Amazing Design, Wonderful Value."
Sound:
The sound is excellent. For a seven string priced in this range it is quite a deal. The mid boost eq switch brings a ton of clarity out of the pickups. Really helps define chords well even with lots of distortion. When I use the mid boost on a clean setting the B string has a bell-like presence. Think "Tool bassline".
Have used it with cheap solid state combos, vintage stacks, and small tube recording rigs. Currently finding a sweet spot with a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and a Boss MT2 Metal Zone.
Unplugged the instrument sounds very good as well. The combination of a solid bridge and arched top really work well with a seven string.
Crisp, Bold Tone. Tons of sustain.
Feature:
Came with three wrenches for adjustments. The neck is very solid and fast. Extremely smooth. Very nice tuners! Cool Truss Rod Cover design. Excellent electronics.
The bridge is just wonderful. The saddle screws dont stick out as they would on your typical fender. The saddles themselves are rounded, smooth and solid. Plays and feels with the comfortability of a floyd rose, with the ease of use and security of a fixed bridge. Tons of sustain for a bolt on.
The cutaways give you easy access to all the frets.
Neck and body binding look great. The pics online do it no justic.
Output jack is designed really well. Super solid, definately wont be coming loose.
The mid boost eq switch is awesome. Makes the relatively inexpensive Ibanez pickups really respond with the clarity of more popular active pickups.
Convenient battery compartment on back. Takes AAs. Definately less expensive than 9v. Cool.
Nice shiny black finish. No blemishes.
Factory setup was wonderful. Needed no adjustment. Wow this is a first.
Came with Daddario strings. Awesome.
I would give a 10 but the nut is plastic, and given the quality of the rest of the instrument, I would probably have shelled out the extra 35 bucks to get a nice graphite or bone nut.
Ease of Use:
One nob, one switch, pickup selector. How hard could it be?
Quality:
Very solid guitar. Would feel great about touring with it. Especially considering the price range, should something happen to it.
I'm very tall and the first time I strapped it on I was standing underneath a ceiling fan. Needless to say the headstock took an extremely hard hit. There was no scratches or dents after this. Built like a tank. Should withstand many years of playing.
Value:
For the price you just cant beat it. Other manufacturers 7 strings in this price range come with cheap painted necks and muddy pickups and also don't have any sort of binding.
Manufacturer Support:
Never had to deal with them. ZZsounds is super helpful however.
The Wow Factor:
Extremely good looking guitar. Really, the pictures online dont convey the professional appearance and amazing features. The binding looks great, and the finish is very smooth. The archtop looks amazing with the rg body style. GENIUS.
I have always loved Ibanez S and RG series, and this feels and looks like a perfect blend of both.
Overall:
I don't expect to be looking for a new guitar in the future. I honestly feel that my playing has improved because of the great playability and inspiration I get while playing on a perfectly designed instrument.
We all know what it's like to hit the sweet spot with gear, where your tone and comfortability with an instrument leave almost nothing to be desired.
With the RGA7 I hit that spot every day.

"Great 7 string for great price"
Sound:
well, the ibanez active stock pickups are rather cheap, so the sound is not as crisp as it would be with some emgs or blackouts. to compensate for the lack of clarity, ibanez wisely chose to put on on-board eq switch that takes the rather poor initial quality of sound and modifies it so that the mids and highs are juiced a little. This gives the tone much more clarity, and makes the sound closer to an emg or blackout. however, even with this mid switch, you will have some muddy notes. But this is not a 1100 dollar guitar, so you should never expect it to sound like one. for this price range, the sound is just fine. cant give it over an eight though.
Feature:
simple design = good design in my opinion. one eq switch, pickup switch, and one volume knob. thin neck, fixed bridge, light woods (makes it easy to play standing up).
Ease of Use:
tune it, play it. simple stuff. this guitar does have batteries, but if you buy it online, they should be new. i think it takes 2 AAs, but i cant be sure.
Quality:
I love ibanez guitars. been playin em for 4 years, and i havent switched yet. they are just solid guitars, i havent had an issue yet.
Value:
great value for a decent 7 string. cant go wrong with this one.
Manufacturer Support:
best support is support you never need. though if i had a problem, im rather confident that ibanez would be very helpful.
The Wow Factor:
ibanez always makes cool guitars. this one is kind of simple, but it still looks very cool.
Overall:
for a starter 7 string that doesnt break the budget, this is a winner. i got this one at a discounted price, so i dont know if id pay the full 500 or whatever for it. im new to 7 strings, so i just wanted a starter 7. if i get better at 7s, and really want to continue, ill save my nickels and dimes and get a prestige version. but again, for a low cost, relatively good sounding/quality, starter 7 string, this is a steal.
