Ibanez has taken seven-string guitar playing to the heaviest levels possible, and the Ibanez RG927QM seven-string electric guitar continues this tradition. Upping the ante on its RG series, Ibanez has built a versatile and dynamic seven-string electric guitar that's loaded with tone and capable of a wide range of expression courtesy of its two scorching DiMarzio pickups, Edge-Zero II locking tremolo system, and Wizard-7 neck.
Modern Tone is an Ibanez Tradition
The Ibanez RG927QM is a thoroughly modern guitar, designed to make your playing sound tight and focused whether you're fretting chords or setting off a blazing solo. This sweet tone starts with the Ibanez RG927QM's basswood body and quilted maple top. Designed for maximum comfort and tone, the Ibanez RG927QM's body looks great while your playing sounds effortless. Every note has to start somewhere, and the 5-piece maple and walnut Wizard-7 neck makes fretting easy, thanks to the jumbo frets and easy to handle profile that makes this neck as speedy as it gets. With this incredible neck, you can cover a wide sonic territory and sound great with every note you play.
DiMarzio IBZ-7 Pickups
Especially made for Ibanez by DiMarzio in New York, the IBZ-7 high-output pickups are custom-made for the seven string guitar and bring out the full body and richness of tone the Ibanez RG927QM is capable of. The neck pickup is bright but mellow sounding, while the bridge pickup is loud and warm, with a disciplined attack that can sound aggressive or polite depending on your strumming. These pickups pack the Ibanez RG927QM full of complex seven-string tone. Whether you are chugging a low and slow rhythm passage, or reaching for the sky with a blindingly fast solo, the DiMarzio IBZ-7 pickups will always make you sound your best.
Edge-Zero II Locking Tremolo System with ZPS3Fe
The Zero Point System in the Edge-Zero II is a stable and easy-to-tune tremolo system that has zero friction for effortless and accurate tremolo effects. Engineered to remove all points of friction, ZPS is the smoothest Ibanez back stop ever, and brings the full potential of the Edge-Zero II to life. An additional outer pair of springs provides easier tuning and better tuning stability than the traditional floating tremolo, plus the other strings will remain in tune if a string breaks. The Edge-Zero is so versatile you can remove the stop bar and the ZPS easily changes to floating tremolo operation.

The RG is the most recognizable and distinctive guitar in the Ibanez line. Three decades of metal have forged this high-performance machine, honing it for both speed and strength. Whether you favor a hardtail (fixed) bridge or Ibanez's industry-leading locking tremolo system, the RG is a precision instrument. Ibanez luthiers' insane attention to detail is evidenced by the RG927QM Premium's hand-rolled fret edges. This slow, demanding process makes for a smooth, fast playing neck. The RG927QM's DiMarzio IBZ pickups were made by DiMarzio specially for Ibanez, delivering tone that's easy to tweak to your sonic requirements.
Edge-Zero II Tremolo with ZPS3Fe
The Zero Point System in the Edge-Zero II makes tuning easier and faster, as well as providing stable tuning for long performances, all while maintaining smooth tremolo playing. Engineered to remove all points of friction, ZPS is the smoothest Ibanez Back Stop ever. Even when a string breaks, loss of tuning is minimized. For players that prefer a full floating system, simply remove the stop bar. The innovative use of an additional outer pair of springs provides easier tuning and noticeably greater tuning stability than the traditional floating tremolo.
ZPS (Zero Point System)
No friction points make the ZPS the smoothest Ibanez Back Stop ever. An additional outer pair of springs provides easier tuning and better tuning stability than the traditional floating tremolo-plus the other strings will remain in tune if a string breaks. One of the best ZPS features: it's switchable to floating tremolo. Just remove your RG927QM's stop bar and the ZPS easily changes to floating trem operation. Plus, thanks to a dial in the spring cavity cover at the back of the guitar, it's easy to adjust the spring tension manually with your thumb -- no hex wrench necessary!
