This acoustic-electric offers standout looks and outstanding plugged-in tone, thanks to an African zebrawood body, B-Band UST pickup and Ibanez SRTc preamp.

With a distinct look, fantastic feel and alluring tone, your Ibanez EW20ZWE will bring sophistication and spice to your acoustic-electric guitar game. A stunning zebrawood top, back, and sides project your EW20ZWE's tone, and a firm mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard provides your playing a great sustain and comfortable action. Your electronics include a dependable B-Band UST pickup and an Ibanez SRTc preamp with three-band EQ faders, phase reverse with an anti-feedback frequency fader, a master volume control, and an onboard tuner. Great tone, comfortable playability, and striking looks are what you get with Ibanez's EW20ZWE acoustic-electric!

The Look and Sound of a Zebrawood Body

The unusual striping of zebrawood on the top of your EW body has an interesting, almost three-dimensional look to it. Zebrawood is an open-grained wood, like maple, but it is heavy and dark. It resonates a full, warm, and rich sound, and it will give your playing a nice midrange boost -- cutting through nicely without too much abrasiveness.

Comfortable Mahogany Neck and Rosewood Fingerboard

Your EW20ZWE sports a sturdy and dark-sounding mahogany neck with very comfortable action that allows your fingers to easily navigate. A rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets spans your neck's length, and an original EW cutaway on the bottom of this axe's body gives you easy access to those higher frets. This acoustic electric is a good friend if you want to showcase lead parts.

B-Band UST pickup and Ibanez SRTc preamp

read more Your B-Band UST pickup will capture the warmth and color of your EW20ZWE's zebrawood body and project warm mids in clear, well-defined tones. An Ibanez SRTc preamp fuels your signal with a nice set of controls -- master volume, three-band EQ, and phase reverse with anti-feedback frequency faders help you shape your sound, and the onboard tuner will keep your intonation in check. Switching between acoustic and acoustic-electric is as seamless as can be with your EW20ZWE's dependable set of electronics, making this acoustic guitar ideal for gigs, recording sessions, or just lying back and strumming on your bed.

Rosewood Bridge and Ibanez Advantage Bridge Pins

Keeping your strings aligned tightly and securely are your rosewood bridge and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins. Advantage pins will hold your game down confidently and make changing strings a breeze. Your rosewood bridge keeps your sustain going strong and looks cool with a nice contrast against your EW20ZWE's visually textured zebrawood top. Why settle for a plain-looking acoustic when you can rock this Exotic Wood number?

Ibanez EW20ZWE Exotic Wood Acoustic

Sound and playability are the 2 most important components in an instrument. But very few will deny that a standout visual aspect enhances your performance. The appearance and sound of the unique Exotic Wood Series were designed for the player who is looking for a completely different voice. You won't find anything else quite like the EW guitars -- even among guitars that are much more expensive. In 2007, the EW family expands once more with sonic and visual colors. The more compact member of Exotic Wood family, the EWC, features a body that's smaller in size and shallower in depth than the original EW's for increased comfort and acoustic projection.

This acoustic/electric sounds, and looks, amazing. I'm not going to write a long in depth report about its technicalities because I'm no expert.. What I can tell you is the the action is spot on, the sound is rich and deep and the finish online doesn't give it justice. It looks and plays like a much more expensive guitar.. The inlay on the 12th fret is also very nice. I would definitely say this is a great buy for someone looking for an affordable yet great quality acoustic/electric guitar.
