Ibanez EDA905 5-String Bass Guitar

Feature:
Overall the design of this bass is spectacular to say the least, but there are a few small details to be critiqued. I found that with certain types of strings, the groove in the saddle is too small for a B string that is fully wrapped all the way to the ball. This causes only partial contact to the peizo pickup and a loss in fullness. I usually endup flattening that section of the string with a hammer so that it will sit fully into the groove.

Quality:
The virtually unscratchable finish suits my gig needs that give it quite the beating. I do tighten things on a regular basis with it but its expected when its vibrating constantly. This bass will last at least 5 more years before I would expect to have to take it to a shop for fret work or electronic work

Desirability:
The curves that give it that futuristic look and the metalic harware set off by the flat gray color definatley makes it stand out but stick out at any show

Sound:
I love tone differences that can be created by just changing the volume between the two pickups. The constuction between the neck and body allows for vibration and fullness unlike any other bass I have ever played. I could go on forever about how clear the chords and harmonics sound anywhere on the neck.

Feature:
active pickups and the piezos fill out the rest of the sound

Quality:
very tough, takes a lot of abuse, dust doesnt show on it, scratches and dings dont show hardly at all because of the silver body

Value:
I would pay 670 for it even though I spend 465 :P

Desirability:
I saw it, played it for like a minute, then bought it and wont get another bass ever!

it has so many different sounds you can go with
