Taking a "modern approach to acoustic guitar tradition," the Ibanez Artwood Series of acoustic instruments has long been a source of pride and a labor of love. Now with the Artwood Vintage Series, Ibanez looks to the past for inspiration in the development of historically influenced instruments.

With its stately Parlor body style, the AVNZ15LTD is a reflection of a more genteel era--evocative of instruments dating back to the American Civil War. It features a solid Sitka Spruce top, Ziricote back and sides, and a short-scale, soft "V" shape satin-finished Mahogany neck that joins the body at the 12th fret.

Ziricote, occasionally referred to as Mexican Ebony, is a beautiful wood with a grain pattern and tone that is more akin to Brazilian Rosewood. It produces a full-balanced sound with thick, rich lows and articulate highs.
