The Ibanez AS103 offers semi-hollow body for feedback resistance and sustain by mounting the pickups directly on a sustain block. So you won't be afraid of picking up the radio station or the vocalists' monitor when performing. Also of note are wood control knobs and wood tailpieces that simply serve to enhance the exquisite appearance of the Artcore Custom line-up. With an included hardshell case you're ready to start gigging right away.

Ibanez AS103 Artcore Custom Guitar

The Ibanez Artcore Custom AS103 is a semi-acoustic electric guitar that features an all-flame Maple body, 2 Ibanez Custom 58 humbucking pickups, and the new fine-tuner equipped Quik Change Ultra tailpiece, which offers easier string changes. Ibanez stunned the music industry when the first Artcores were unveiled and the appearance of the Artcore Customs in 2005 seems to have had the same effect. No one would have blinked an eye if Ibanez had placed a price tag of over 2 grand on these beautiful boxes. But the Artcore Customs are less than half that. Now with a semi-acoustic model for players who want more sustain and feedback resistance to play at higher volumes, Ibanez presents a fully comprehensive series. Artcore Custom received 2 nominations by music industry retailers for the 2006 Music and Sound Awards, Electric Guitar of the Year and Product of Year.

Sound
I love the sound of the custom 58 pups..very versitile from warm and mellow jazz to screaming rock and anything in between.
Features
I will only deduct 1 point in this area.I could have given a 10 if it had come with a set of Gotoh 510 tuners.Fit and finish are perfect and the frets are finished as good as any that I have ever seen.
Quality
As I said before absolutely perfect fit and finish

I can honestly say that I would have paid twice the sale price and still would have considered it a bargain
