What is HyDrive?
HyDrive transducers represent a revolutionary improvement in bass speaker technology and a major leap forward, fusing paper and aluminum in a roadworthy speaker design that is more robust and efficient than anything available.

With Hartke's HyDrive series, you get the best of both worlds: the warm tone of traditional paper cones and the clear, punchy attack of aluminum. HyDrive's patented Hybrid Cone Technology produces a speaker that uses an outside paper cone to push a warm, deep low frequency and an inner aluminum cone that produces mids and highs that cut, yet still remain sweet.

One of the most important advances with the HyDrive speaker is its power-to-weight ratio. A HyDrive speaker weighs 40% less than traditional speakers and delivers 250 watts for the highest power-to-weight ratio of any bass speaker available. But the innovation runs even deeper. Because of its cast aluminum frame and neodymium magnets, HyDrive speakers operate cooler and deliver more reliable power handling at peak performance.

HyDrive 115C
As the HyDrive engineers were developing a series of combos, their intentions were to produce a powerful, versatile bass combo that could handle the task of playing in any genre of music. After years of development and assistance from professional performers like Stu Hamm, the result is a groundbreaking bass combo that provides players of all levels with power, tone and all the features necessary to shape a custom sound for any style of playing.

With 1 x 15-inch 300 watt HyDrive neodymium hybrid cone driver, the HyDrive 115C offers 250 watts of clean linear power. A massive toroidial transformer and internal protection circuitry help protect the amplifier and speaker, allowing the 115C the ability to handle virtually any passive or active bass with plenty of power to ensure your live performance is heard amidst the rest of your band.

Onboard Hartke Shape Control and Bass Attack Overdrive allow you to sculpt your sound with unparalleled control. The ability to shape highs and mids or work in distortion also offers a range of options to ensure your HyDrive combo is perfect for any style of bass playing. The addition of a 7-band EQ and bass and treble shelving result in the most versatile combo available.

The test of time and heavy gigging were also two considerations when developing these combos. Understanding the importance of a roadworthy amp, the HyDrive combo cabinets are made of the highest quality plywood and utilize the same bracing and dado joinery found on the large HyDrive cabinets. The 115C also employs vinyl covering, a steel grill and steel corners for added protection when transporting your amp. Featuring the original Kickback design, the HyDrive 115C also allows for better projection of your sound while on stage. The resulting aesthetics of this combo fuse classic and contemporary styles for an original look that's both novel and elegant.
