Feature:
Does not include an expression pedal. I recommend the EXP100F, which has a fast/slow leslie switch on the side.
Quality:
The only reason I don't give the XK-3 a 10 for quality is the Ei tubes... Dump 'em and get a pair of vintage 12AX7's.
Value:
Compared to the cost of a real B3 the XK-3 systemis a steal.
Desirability:
Looks great on stage. Absolute joy to play.
Sound:
The XK-3 System is a great concept. I use an XK-3 system for gigging and recording. The system sounds totally authentic and has a real authentic feel. Sounds best when run thru a real leslie, which is what I use. The sound and feel totally blows away all the other keyboards that I have used for organ, except of course my real B3 which never leaves the house. And even compared to my real B3, the sound of the XK-3 is so close that I never would think of hauling out the "beast".
Ease of Use:
Turn it on and your rolling. The preset sounds are excellent and changing presets on the fly is simple. Minimal learning curve.
Support:
I once called Hammond-Suzuki for an explanation of a program function and they were super to deal with.
Overall:
I currently have no need to replace my XK-3 system. It does everything I need - easy to use, sounds great, looks authentic. People will literally walk upto me between sets and comment how great the B3 sounds!
