I've always used Schaller straplocks for their simplicity and durability but I've encountered several issues with them that made me switch to the Hennessey's. Number one is that Schallers are not always that easy to find and second they're about one and a half times the price of these. Of course all of this means absolutely nothing if your strap is a POS to begin with, so I'd highly recommend upgrading your strap when you install strap locks (I use Kepur straps, the toughest, most comfortable straps out there).

Sound
Well they keep your guitar from making that extremely disheartening sound when it falls off of your strap and crashes to the floor.

Features
They come as a pair. Each one consists of two parts: one you screw into your guitar and the other goes on your strap. Thet're very similar to the concept of Schaller strap locks, if you're familiar with them. The strap nut has a unique wing nut profile which makes it a breeze to retighten them on the fly. They also include a small wrench for tightening the wing nuts, but I found that I really didn't need it.

Ease of Use
Very simple to use. Just pull the spring loaded pin out and put your strap on your guitar or take it off. Sure beats wrestling with trying to push on or pull off your strap without strap locks! One thing is worth mentioning though. They come with generic screws for fastening to your guitar body. Usually folks read more find that these screws are smaller than the original screws that came with their guitar. What to do? Very simple, actually. Get some thin toothpicks and some Elmer's glue. Coat a toothpick with the glue and push it all the way into the hole on your guitar, then repeat this process one toothpick at a time until you can't fit any more toothpicks in there. Allow to dry, preferably overnight, cut off the excess toothpick wood flush with the body, then screw in the strap lock screws.

Quality
They seem pretty sturdy and well made

Value
Great Value! Especially if you buy them from zZounds. They've got a great price on these as compared to "Those Other Guys". Not much coin to protect your cherished axe from one of the most common causes of cracked headstocks.

The Wow Factor
Every guitarist should seriously consider investing in straplocks. Not only do they go a long way towards keeping your guitar safe, they also have the added convenience of making it very quick and easy to remove the strap from your guitar.
