Product Description

MU-TRON III+TM translates the envelope or "volume profile" of every musical passage, ...automatically... into an easily-controlled, vowel-like sound, as you play. Use the MU-TRON III+TM to create a variety of synthesizer sounds with most electrified instruments: guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, flute, saxophone, brasses, ...even microphone. The sharper your attack and the more percussive your instrument, the wilder your sound will be. Besides providing that inverted "snap" (perfect for funky bass), MU-TRON III+TM also functions as an automatic "wah" pedal. Full instructions are included, but you decide how far you want to go.

- Power: On-off switch.
- Low Battery/Sweep Limit Indicator: Monitors the batteries' condition and aids in setting the depth control.
- Range Switch: Emphasizes high or low frequencies.
- Drive Switch: Shifts the filter up or down for two totally different effects.
- Mode Switch: High-pass, band-pass, low-pass or notch filter characteristics, for accentuating different regions of audio band, allowing four distinct tonal images.
- Depth Control: A sensitivity control for optimum operation from any musical source.
- Peak Control: For varying filter "sharpness" from a subtle accentuation through a distinct vowel sound to high resolution filtering that "plays" individual overtones.
- Bypass Footswitch: A true, passive bypass switch for routing the audio signal around the effect.

DIP-Switches (internal): Permit you to customize your MU-TRON III+TM to highlight your instrument and playing style. Two switches tailor the high and low frequency ranges. Three switches control the way the MU-TRON III+TM follows the dynamics of your instrument. The last switch allows the Low battery L.E.D. to double as a sweep limit indicator. zZounds is an authorized dealer of HAZ Laboratories products.

Sound: Out of this world Feature: Instruction Manual Easy to use Quality: Very well built, this machine is bullet proof. Value: Well is not cheap, but is really a good buy. Manufacturer Support: So far so good The Wow Factor: I had to wait 7 years to buy one, cause in Europe is kind of hard to find one, I Bought mine in London, and it looks amazing in my pedal board, I think I'm the only one who as one in a 100 Km raid, Eh! Eh! Eh! Overall: I will never sell it, I bought just for my self (the guys in my band don't let me use it as much as I wanted to), I like a lot, bands like Parliament, Funkadelic, P-Funk and all the late 60's and 70's Funk, so I'll never replace it.

Sound: Great tone for both vintage wah fans and for those looking to experiment. Excellent, vowel-like wahs, screaming highs, feedback-provoking lows, it's all here! Feature: This product has enough features and controls to allow you to tailor your own perfect tone, while still keeping it simple. It will take some experimentation, but your favorite wah sound is in there. And the expressiveness is the best - use a really clean picking technique and each note will have a percussive wah sound, even with super fast runs, or else run the notes together more, and the filter will stay open as if you were keeping the toe down on a conventional wah pedal. Ease of Use: There are only a few controls here, it's not too complicated, but it does everything you need. Quality: It's built like a tank. Value: This costs not much more than those boutique quality conventional wahs or the competition's auto wahs, and it sounds and plays at least as good as any of them. Manufacturer Support: Don't know yet. The Wow Factor: It was good enough for Stevie Wonder on "Innervisions", Bootsy helped make it famous (or vice versa), etc, etc, what more do you need. It's one of the sexiest pedals ever made. I like the retro look - it really looks like something you'd see on the bridge of the original starship Enterprise. It also reminds me of the old Minimoog, with those rocker switches and primary colors. Overall: I think this will take care of my wah needs for quite some time to come.
