"Entry level archtop for a more serious musician. Unique with a bit of attitude"
Support:
I think the quality with the new Asian Fender made Gretsch is quite good and the information one gets through the Gretsch Pages website is as good as you'll find for any brand out there. The music store provided very underwhelming service.

"Tone-delicious"
Feature:
The Bigsby is very nice. The tremelo bar on the Fenders I've owned has always ended up off the guitar and on the shelf. This one I actually use.

Quality:
I say 8, only because 9, and 10 are ideals that shouldn't be applied to real guitars, or at least one to ones that cost under a thousand dollars. The more I play this instrument the more I like it. Mine was made in Korea. I have heard rumours that they are now made in China and the quality has degraded. I have not played a Sino-factured Electromatic, but this DOES seem true of the Elliot Easton line, which I have compared, so maybe the case with the Electromatics as well.

Value:
For a $700-850 guitar seems well put together. The tone is lovely.

Sound:
It took me awhile to fall in love with the Gretsch voice, but eventually I realized that a Gibson (owned a vintage SG for 15 years) is plain muddy in comparison. Of course this all a matter of taste. Definitely not a matter of quality, either in tone or in workmanship.
