Feature:
Came with a case .
The wood though plain is quite nice. The frets, fingerboard, binding, nut and finish are truly top grade. The electronics seem solid enough and are not giving any trouble.
It has a good selection of controls.
Quality:
The quality is top notch.
You could easily spend twice as much as these are going for and get half the guitar.
The gold will go soon, but beyond that I can't see anything that won't last.
Value:
It is well worth the typical selling price.
Lot's of Gretsches are more dough and harder to play .
Desirability:
This instrument is very fine looking in person and has such a great tactile sensation to it that it is like an old friend right out of the box.
Somehow it translates even a casual movement into a great lick.
I didn't need it. I lusted after it.
Sound:
This Gretsch as mentioned in the other review is possibly the most luxurious guitar I have ever owned. The sound is breathtaking clear and well defined wiyh a brisk high end and deep bass. It has great sustain and even tone in every position. It also stays in tune for weeks even using the Bigsby. When put throughht he right amp I do hear sounds I have searched for for years.
Support:
So far so good. think that the fender people would maybe respond if I had a problem. Thpugh it's hard to say.
Overall:
I always want another guitar. This one is so good I could sell a couple.
This guitar between how god it sounds and how easy it plays does in fact help to get the sounds I desire and execute as well.
What I like most is the playability. The least likable thing is.....
The strap buttons come loose on occasion. very normal for new gretsches.
