This is my 4th Gibson SG and I must say, It's a real BEAUTY! When it first arrived I was less than thrilled and almost sent it back. Seems Gibson's quality control has much to be desired lately. I can usually set up a guitar no problem, Not the case with this one, Besides, For a high end Gibson you would think it would be set up perfectly out of the box. I tinkered with truss rod and action for a couple hours and just could not get the action I desired without fret buzz. I ended up taking it to a local Luthier who luckily is a friend too, When I got it back, WOW! Now that's the Gibson I expected!! it was now the way it SHOULD have came from Gibson and let me tell you, Once it is professionally set up, It is quite the guitar! I own a 3,500.00 SG reissue with the Lyre tailpiece that is incredible, The Supra now beats it! I also own a 2013 SG Deluxe with the tog-pot and bigsby, Supra beats it too! And of course it beats my 70's reissue. So, The bottom line is, Once you get it set up the way it should be, It's is a heavenly guitar you will want to keep forever! Also the Piezo's in the bridge are fantastic! You can literally make it sound like a very nice acoustic/electric. So, If you don't mind dealing with a set up, And your a die hard SG fan like me, BUY ONE while you still can! Mine is the natural finish and it's beautiful. Lastly, Zzounds is a great place to buy, One of the BEST as far as I'm concerned, I didn't use Gibson support but Zzounds support is top notch and they stand read more behind everything they sell! Bert @ Zzounds is very helpful and cares about his customers. Thanks Zzounds!
