Gibson USA's new Les Paul Voodoo puts a mojo sound and a juju look on Gibson's most famous solidbody guitar. The Les Paul Voodoo has a Swamp Ash body, Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard with Red Pearl Voodoo skull at the 5th fret, Black Chrome hardware, and Black Magic pickups.

The Swamp Ash body and special finish give the Voodoo Les Paul a lighter feel. Swamp Ash is 10 percent lighter than Mahogany and more porous. The guitars are painted Ebony and then rubbed with Red Filler; a satin lacquer coat completes the unique stained finish, showcasing the grain and allowing the wood to breathe. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Gibson products.

"Gibson VooDoo LP"

Sound: The first thing I had to do was change the P-Ups. Lots of highs, good harmonics and forever sustain, but no lows, terrible clean, and cunfused sounding dirty. Not what I like for metal and rock.... EMG'S ZW have made a mega improvement to sound. This guitar NOW sounds better than any I have ever owned. Sound was 5 now 10 Feature: Always the best from Gibson in this area. Quality: No loose parts. Very solid. Value: Could be better Manufacturer Support: Never needed it, but I hear they are great. The Wow Factor: I got it. The look is very cool with the black/red finish, but I don't like the goofy skull on the fret board. I wish I could get rid of that. It looks even better with the black p-ups. I love that it is lighter than other LP's, and the tone remains killer! Overall: I love the sound I get from it now W/EMG's. I'll keep it just for that alone. Once I get it setup how I like my guitars, I'm sure I'll keep it. I may paint over the retarded skull thing.

"A different and perfect guitar"

Sound: Its sound is amazing for all type of music. You can get sweet sound from the neck pickup and a heavy sound from the bridge one. Feature: It includes a very sexy case and the best Gibson quality. Quality: I hope it is very well made as it's a Gibson. The guitar looks perfect and it came with all the quality control papers. Value: I know it's a Gibson but it's expensive... Manufacturer Support: I didn't use it The Wow Factor: The Voodoo is VERY BEAUTIFUL and even if you don't play heavy music you will like it. It's different but not custom, if you know what I mean. Overall: If you like something different you will like it. It sounds very nice and the quality is superb. It's expensive but if you want a good Les Paul you have to pay for a Gibson.
