The SG Special 2017 HP combines what Gibson does best: tradition and Innovation, It gives you the best of both worlds in one superb looking instrument with supercharged premium features such as a slim-taper neck with soloist's width and 24 polished frets, a fast-access neck heel, 490R and 490T humbuckers, titanium bridge saddles and steel studs, G FORCE auto-tuning system, upgraded electronics and wiring, and much more.
Delivered in a HP padded gigbag, accompanied by a strap and a polishing cloth.

Mahogany body. Mahogany neck with soloist neck width, slim-taper profile, and rosewood fingerboard with 24 polished frets.

490R and 490T humbuckers. 2 volumes, 2 tones, 1 aviation grade toggle switch. Gold plated multi-contact jack.
Hardware
Chrome aluminum Tune-O-Matic bridge with titanium saddles and locking steel studs. Chrome aluminum stop bar with locking steel studs. Chrome knurled UFO knobs. G FORCE auto-tuning system.

"Great guitar, but..."

I love everything about this guitar. The GForce tuners are very convenient for me. I love how low the action comes on this guitar. Great feel, much prefer the satin finish to the gloss lacquer finish on most guitars. Only thing I have to deal with is some SERIOUS neck dive. I might end up having to replace the GForce tuners with the Gibson Deluxe grovers if I can't find a different fix. I actually meant to click 4 instead of 3. It'd be a 5 if I can fix the neck dive without replacing the tuners. We'll see.
