The Genz-Benz's Streamliner STM-900 is their 900 watt version of the Streamliner design. The 300 volt All Tube Class A preamp design is driven by three 12AX7 preamp tubes utilizing six gain stages. The preamp design features an intuitive and highly effective tone network which is a unique blend of a modified passive Baxandall network for the bass and treble along with an active tube driven mid filter with selectable mid frequencies. The versatile all tube preamp exudes a fat and rich tone that remains articulate. It can be used to simply add warmth to your natural tone or it can be dialed in to provide a wide range of natural tube overdrive.

Along with Genz-Benz's preamp design that rivals that of many classic tube amplifiers, the Streamliner 900 also features the proprietary 3-Dimensional Power Management analog technology. The 3DPM adds heft and girth to each individual note, while enhancing the amplifiers responsiveness and headroom. It provides the dynamic and 3-dimensional tone and feel of an all tube power amp design.

With its solid extruded aluminum panels, CNC machined solid billet aluminum faceplate and smooth-radius edges the Streamliner 900 chassis emanates the ruggedness and strength of a world-class touring machine. This brushed aluminum chassis is finished in an anodized Tungsten finish.

The powerhouse behind the Streamliner 900 is a Class D amplifier and SMPS module, enhanced with the Patent Pending P.H.A.T. (Proprietary Heat Abatement Technology) topology. This delivers robust and reliable, high output performance in a tremendously compact and convenient package.

Simply put, this new design offers a more streamlined approach to finding your voice, yet it still carries forth the Genz-Benz reputation for performance, reliability and innovation.

Sound: I know the big thing these days is slap tone.. scooped mids and high notes that bark at you. But since I have never been asked at an audition or a gig if I could slap, I figured warmth, solid thick mids and detail in my tone in a support role would be best. Enter the Genz Benz STM-900. Wow. Super light weight with power and tone! The 3 tube preamp brings to the table what small bass head manufactures only wish they had. And guess what? If do want slap tone with scooped mids there is no problem dialing it in. This head has it all man! Feature: The reason I give it a ten here is because in my book less is more. No adjusting of a ten band EQ... just simple, easy to dial in tone. Ease of Use: I didn't have to break out the owners manual to use this head. No problems at all here! Quality: When you pull this head out of the box you can see and feel the quality. Plug it in and Pow! there it is man. the tone speaks quality all the way. You can tell a lot of thought was put into the design of this bass head. And it should be a breeze on the road as it doesn't take up any room at all and with the GB gig bag it's snug as a bug in a rug dude! Value: Worth every penny, period. Manufacturer Support: Genz Benz. Do I have to say more? Their customer service is second to none hands down. Not because I have had to use it though. I have heard of a very few small issues with this head (as can happen in all manufacturing) and the folks reported that they had the problem rectified within 48-72 hours! hows that for customer support/service! The Wow Factor: See above! Overall: 100% satisfied. Will I keep this head forever? I don't know... what if Genz Benz comes out with something even better? If they do, watch out!
