Description
A problem for decades has been the guitar player getting his amp from the van to the stage without damage. Many amps weigh in at nearly 100 pounds, which further complicates the issue. The new Gator Amp Transporter is the solution. Made from their semi-hard technology, the case is 600-denier ballistic material on the exterior with a 1/2 in. wooden interior frame covered in 20mm military spec foam with Tricro interior to protect the amp. Heavy-duty wheels and pullout handle make the transporter a dream to move over long distances. The cases have rugged web side handles for carrying over rough terrain plus an external pocket for pedals, cables, and gear. Feature:
Its a good idea...a really good Idea. However for not much more $$ you can have a wood case made that will offer better protection and no cheep plastic parts! Case is well made otherwise.
Quality:
Not very good here. I have had 3 of these returned to Gator for replacement. The Handle can not take moving that case around. NEVER LIFT WITH THE PLASTIC HANDLE. Not even for a small lip at a door way. it will break. So with all that said. In the end what the heck good is it. Well if you use a luggage dolly then it starts to get pretty good. Saddly now you can have a nice Lite Flight case for less money!
Value:
its a good value even with the weakness. Still you have to have another cart to move this case if you are gonna really use the case.
Sound:
It sounds like nothing.... its not built very well and does not hold up to real world use.

Fair...they (gator) proved to be very difficult to work with. Had to get this company involved to get things moving. Then no problems!
