A Name to Hang Your Hat On
When you talk about musical instruments of the modern era, the brand Fender is sure to be name-dropped sooner rather than later. If it isn't, you probably aren't talking to someone who knows very much about the subject! The name Fender carries a certain gravitas along with it, and for good reason; the company has been on the bleeding edge of innovation and design ever since Leo Fender first set up shop in 1946. Having built their name and reputation on electric basses and guitars, Fender is no stranger to crafting quality, affordable instruments, and the acoustic Fender CD60 Dreadnought is certainly not an exception to this rule.
Construction: No Hard-Hat Required
Available in striking Sunburst, Black, and Natural finishes, the Fender CD60 is a dreadnought guitar with construction and tone worthy of any stage, at a truly entry-level price. Part of their Classic Design Series, this no-nonsense acoustic features a laminated Spruce top, Mahogany body, and Nato neck all topped with a traditional Polyurethane gloss finish. These tone woods were carefully selected and combined to deliver a rich, balanced tone, equally suited to strumming, fingerpicking, or intricate lead work up and down all 20 frets of this thoughtfully designed instrument. The Sonokeling bridge and fretboard work together to produce a present and defined punch, while the compensated saddle ensures that no matter what stacked jazz voicing you throw at it, the CD60 will deliver it in tune, all the time. Other tasty appointments include a black pickguard, black body and neck binding, black bridge and end-pins, dot position inlays, and multi-ABS inlays on the soundhole rosette. The headstock is adorned with a gold silkscreened Fender logo and chrome die-cast tuners, with a 1.69-inch width at the nut and 25.3-inch scale length.
That's Not All, Folks!
You might be shocked to find out that even with such an incredibly affordable price on this guitar, Fender saw fit to include a form-fitting hard shell case, for free! The guitar ships set up with a set of Fender 60L Phosphor Bronze Strings, Gauges .012 to .053. As you can see, with the CD60 Fender has managed to create an all-around working man's dreadnought at a price even a beginner can handle, without any compromise in tone, construction, or design.
The Fender CD60 Acoustic Guitar starts with the power and legacy of Fender acoustic guitar design and throws in incredible value to quickly become a guitar that grabs your attention.
