News
Fender invented the electric bass guitar, introducing the Precision Bass in 1951. Its thick sound and indestructible build changed the face of popular music. New American Standard Precision basses are today’s versions of the great instruments of bass heroes past and present—the modern interpretations of our classic instrument, refined for today’s players.

The new American Standard Precision basses feature Fender's new high-mass vintage bridge, a thinner finish undercoat that lets the body breathe and improves resonance, new and improved Fender tuning keys that keep the classic look but are 30 percent lighter, a richer and deeper neck tint for a more elegant appearance, a great-looking glossed maple or rosewood fingerboard and satin back for smooth playability, a new Fender-exclusive SKB molded case and a gorgeous new Blizzard Pearl finish option.

"awesome"
Sound:
First off, i would like to say that this bass has a very proffesional sound to it! The quality is perfect! Every note just rings in my ears till the next one hits. This fits my fast punk/ska playing sound perfectltly!!!I think the bright sound of the maple really lets you be heard and express yourself in a almost angelic tone.I would definitely say this awesome product helps me achieve that sound i had been longing.I Got my inspiration from bassists of bands like Led Zeppelin,Leftover Crack,Rancid, and OPIVY and as it tirns out all these men play a P-bass so the product definitely fits the music style i play (which is much like the bassists of the above bands).Id say maybe the happier tunes and really fast tempo sounds above amazing, but the dark and slow tunes will still rock your world. The day i first picked up this bass i played in a room without a drummer,or metronome and it sounded so sweeeet!!! its like this bass can control any moment by making it a fender p-bass moment.I really believe this is the best bass out there so the money is worth spending especially if u have a sweet ampeg 8x10 to go along with it.

"The Best"
Feature:
The setup of this bass required no additional expenditures at leasst for me....

Quality:
Top quality, feels good to me. Although most other bassist who pick it up says it is heavy they normally respond they would love to own one. They usually balk at the price, but the high price attributable to the case, which I love due the fact that I travel a lot and don't have to worry about damage.

Value:
Great price, but out of an average persons range.

Desirability:
It's just a practical piece of equipment. I purchased the Olympic White.

Sound:
I have played and owned other brands over the past 40 years but have always owned and used the Fender P as my main axe from the start of my playing experince. Other models always left me feeling as though I had been jipped even with all the "extras" the offered. I use the Hartke HD210C HyDrive Bass Combo Amplifier (250 Watts, 2x10 in.)and find this setup exceptional for the venues I currently play in.

Ease of Use:
Everything I need

Support:
Never had to use support.

Overall:
I'll keep it forever. Probably will not need to replace it unless God forbid I lose it and I'd replace it with the same.
