The Fender Custom Shop Artisan series is built to spotlight fine woods with distinctive figures and hand-rubbed oil finishes. Artisan series instruments are also outfitted with a wealth of special appointments and features that contribute to their striking sound and style.

The Custom Shop Spalted Maple Artisan Telecaster features an alder body with a dramatically figured spalted maple top and a lacquer finish, paired with a one-piece medium-roast AAA birdseye maple neck with a 10/'56 "V" profile, 6105 frets and 9.5" fingerboard radius.

Other highly distinctive features include dual hand-wound 1958 Telecaster pickups with three-way switching and modern wiring, gold anodized pickguard, gold hardware and gold RSD Tele bridge which echoes the look of a traditional bridge, with refined feel and compensated adjustable saddles, Custom Shop certificate of authenticity and black case.
