Alder body Light weight with a wide tonal range
C-shaped neck profile Comfortable, rounded oval shape
Stratocaster middle pickup Adds hum-cancelling in switch positions 2 and 4
Rosewood fretboard Open, warm tone and smooth playing feel

Some Fender fans follow a Telecaster-only philosophy. For others, it's strictly Stratocaster all of the time. With the Fender Nashville Telecaster, you get the best of both worlds. This unique Fender wedges a Tex Mex Strat pickup between a traditional pair of Tex Mex Tele pickups. The result is a wider range of tones than you'd get with a conventional Telecaster setup, providing the spanky rock cleans of a Strat to go with that classic treble twang. For players looking for a Fender that can easily switch between rock, blues, country, and more, the Deluxe Nashville Telecaster with rosewood fretboard is an absolutely stellar choice.

Versatile Electronics, Versatile Tones

Just like the top session players in its namesake city, the Nashville Tele can play just about any musical style with equal ease. Use the five-way pickup selector to shift between different pickup configurations, and explore a huge range of tones. Try the front "lip-stick" pickup with the middle Strat pickup, and get a solid combination of treble bite and mid-range depth. Or flip the selector all the way back, and let the lone single-coil bridge pickup churn out biting rock tones for punk or indie rock. Volume and tone control knobs open things up even more, allowing for easy pinky-controlled volume swells and dips.

Sweet Vintage Style

It wouldn't be right to call this Tele the Deluxe Nasvhille without giving it a truly deluxe set of hardware and visual appointments. At the top, you get old-school read more tuning machines like a '60s Strat. On the other end, you get a traditional "ashtray"-style bridge plate. In between, this edition features a comfortable rosewood fretboard that pairs exquisitely with any of the groovy finish options.

"Maxi-axe!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I'll be living with this guitar for a long, long time I reckon - and happily so at that.
Sound
This axe is about three-in-one, at least! The bridge/centre and neck/centre humbucking settings (2 & 4) really took me by surprise. Tele "twang" is there with the bridge alone and the deep, clear bass response from that lipstick neck number on its own has got to be heard to be believed.
Features
Everything is there...the only mods I'd consider is 4/5 string guide at the headstock and maybe rewire the middle position to be neck and bridge together.
Quality
I'm not too fussed on the vintage machine heads, but they seem to neatly do the trick...I've read in other reviews where some people thinking about changing them end up living with them after all.
Value
I would have paid more for this unit if I'd had to, just to own it.
Manufacturer Support
Fender has a rep to keep up and knows it. Their internet and dealer access is second to none.
The Wow Factor
This is a "heads up" kind of guitar...everybody wants to know all about it.
