I just got a Nashville Power Tele several days ago. I had played
one back to back with custom teles in stores and
noted the tonal strength and diversity of this guitar, compared
to other teles. The Fishman adds far more than just the accoustic touch.
It adds notable 'power' to any of the traditional tele pickup combinations.
Also adds perceptible 'stereo'presence. With or without the Fishman,
this guitar has loads of chime and airiness, with decent low end,
but don't expect humbucker low end, unless your amp can really boost
the lows.
Been playing through a Fender Princeton Chorus, a great match up.
On this amps gain channel (gain/presence=7-8), the lows are
creamy. This is as close to humbuck as i've gotten. But at Fender PC
gain settings, the highs and mids just scream, with notably good resolution!
Can't describe the fun i've had playing at this setting. In the clean channel,
with high depth/low speed chorus natural stereo, combined with the Fishman's
ambience and stereo overtones, the tone is just unearthly!
This tele stays in tune better than many guitars i've played in
recent years. This is really an exciting guitar, and i've only
had it 2 days!!! (thank you Santa, and Praise the Lord!).
