Manufacturer's Description for Fender Vintage Noiseless Telecaster Single-Coil Pickup Set

Sounding like a 60's Tele without the 60-cycle buzz, that's the Vintage "Noiseless" Tele pickup. Made with the same technology as the "Noiseless" Strat, but voiced for that traditional Tele tone. Special Alnico 5 magnets and enamel coated magnet wire along with Fenders "Noiseless" technology produce a unique vintage sound that is quiet. The neck pickup has a nickel-silver cover for added clarity while the bridge pickup was developed to produce the traditional "twang" you'd expect from a Telecaster. Each pickup sports a very stylish "Noiseless" logo. OEM on the American Deluxe Telecaster. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Fender products.

Sound: The tone of these comes pretty close to vintage/stock. If installed properly, noise is very minimal. A huge improvement over any stock pickups in MIM or American Teles, including the deluxe models which come with SCN pickups (if you want your guitar to sound like a Fender, I'd stay away from these; they came stock in my Strats and I didn't care for the tone at all--more modern than vintage). Feature: Not much to say here; you get the set. Ease of Use: With basic soldering skills, installation is a breeze. Quality: Same look and slightly higher finish over stock. Value: For a little over a hundred bucks for the set, you can't go wrong. Manufacturer Support: Never had an issue. The Wow Factor: Sex appeal? These are pickups...they look good, but come on... Overall: Considering the price and over-all quality I can't imagine anyone being dissatisfied. I'm picky as hell when it comes to my all my gear, and I'd say this set is a winner.

Sound: These pickups sound great! They get rid of the hum (make sure you solder the black wires to the ground lead and attach the loop end to the bridge). These things scream just like any humbuckers. What a difference...no more buzz, just great killer vintage tone. Feature: All screws and accessories were included. I think more detailed directions might be better for inexperienced do-it-yourselfers. Ease of Use: It's very easy to get awesome tones from these pickups. Quality: These pickups are very well made. Workmanship is very good. Value: For this price, these pickups are a steal. Manufacturer Support: I put a 5 as a neutral response because I had no reason to contact Fender regarding these pickups. The Wow Factor: These are pickups, so I don't think there's much sex appeal. Overall: Great product at for a great price.
