From Eddie Van Halen comes a guitar representing over 35 years of cumulative EVH experience and expertise in guitar design, the EVH Wolfgang Electric Guitar. Built to Eddie Van Halen's exact specs and using every single feature of the Wolfgang guitars he himself plays onstage and in the studio, the EVH Wolfgang is a bulletproof and beautiful tonal giant of a guitar that takes whatever you can dish out and then asks for more.

"Everything that I've built, destroyed, stumbled onto, learned and experienced is in this guitar," Eddie Van Halen said. Every aspect and component of the EVH Wolfgang has been examined and upgraded to the highest standards possible--stainless steel frets, double-potted custom-wound pickups, five-piece binding on the matching body and headstock, custom-made signature tuning machines and Floyd Rose bridge, new low-friction pots, and the list keeps going. EVH left no stone unturned.

Road-Tested By the Man

The process undertaken to develop the EVH Wolfgang took over two years of intense trial-and-error research. The formidable task yielded a series of prototypes that endured a full year of brutal in-concert road testing by Eddie on Van Halen's triumphant 2007-2008 world tour. To prove that the Wolfgang was battle-worthy and could survive the road, performance data was collected from every gig for months and months to establish and confirm consistency and durability.

Sound: simply put just a WICKED GUITAR!! sounds like a kramer baretta & peavey wolfgang combined. perfect set-up-tune it & play right out of the box. right on the money quality-top gun! i have the wolf in black; simply BEAUTIFUL. the only thing i don"t care for are the tiny frets, stainless steel great; size too small. dry or wet signal , begs for more juice, not muddy at all & also very good clean. is it worth 3 large, NO! is the cream of the crop-YESSSSSSSS!!! overall great purchase-its van halen at his best in reguards to tone chasing. try it, difinately will want it!! Feature: the features are pretty average to me-no need to lie. the guitar costs 3 grand players expect all the gingerbread! the accessories are a paper phamplet manual, 2 allen wrenches, key for case lock & tremblo bar-thats it-no fine tuner allen key for dtuna! actually lacking in this area. Ease of Use: if your a player, this is like driving a corvette!! fast, smooth, easy, impossible to get a bad tone! tapping is a little more involved because of those tiny frets, big mistake ed! again stainless killer, small -no go. action very low, no buzz. Quality: the reason i give a 8 is because of the basswood, so soft!!! this is my second wolf-the first one had a cracked trem. cavity-took fender 2 months to replace it. no hassle from fender, asked for some photos, returned it & waited. i just got the replacement today-would still be playing but after 4 hrs. my fingers are killimg me. make sure you buy from a authorized evh dealer or warrenty is void-very important!!!!!!! Value: its high, but usually get what you pay for if your lucky these days. again can"t justify 3 large for it; but in another weird way i can. if your in the position to afford it, and you want the evh brown sound & them some go for it-i did, not sorry. did"t want too pay that kind of money, but i knew the guitar was in my future so i just bit the bullet. don"t sweat the axe, listem to ed very close, its the truth!! Manufacturer Support: outstanding customer service,very concerned, friendly,&professional! if you need a replacement, get ready for long frustrating wait-due to demand & its a custom shop guitar. i really think the first 1 was a freak. The Wow Factor: no sex appeal in guitars for me, just hot women!! but it just has something about it -its just like you have to have it no holds barred!! not because van halen uses it; its just BAD!!! totally wicked guitar. freakin screams, roars & howls!!! Overall: i have a pretty large collection-this is probably the last guitar i buy for a while, plus it takes alot to impress me.
