"Best value for the money."

Feature:
The TR5's are just basic monitors without a bunch of fancy setable knobs to confuse you. On/off and input sensitivity. The three different input options are nice. You can connect almost any device to them.

Quality:
The cabinets are nice looking and all the connections and fittings are tight.

Value:
I though these were the best value for the money. I paid $255 out the door for the pair.

Desirability:
No sex appeal for me, just the most bang for the buck in the price range I was seeking.

Sound:
I'm using as a live monitor for my Korg PA1X Pro. I like the fullness the TR5's give my vocals. Bass is fine and natural for all but the thumpers, mid-range is great and the highs are OK although I notice that the high pitched percussion items like the wood blocks and such you hear in Island type stuff doesn't cut though like they did with the small satelite/subwoofer setup I was using. I like the TR5's better for overall sound for my application.

Support:
Haven't needed support yet.

Overall:
I believe these TR5's will suffice for my application as a keyboard monitor. I have great headphones for mixing on my HD recorder but I look forward to hearing the final mix live with these.

Event TR5 Monitors Customer Review

Feature:
I dig the multiple input options. Right now I'm using RCA, but I may change that at some point as my setup grows. These do what you need em to.

Quality:
Totally solid. One small blemish on the front (where the ring around the speaker is), but I mean TINY, like the size of a pinhead...not bothering me at all

Value:
Great stuff for the money...

Sound:
sounds great to me...sitting here grinning like a kid listening to my mixes plus my favorite CDs! Brings a tear to my eye!

Support:
??? Haven't used them yet, so don't know

Introducing the Tuned Reference monitors. Their names tell the whole story: These monitors are precision tuned to provide flat frequency response and uncolored sound, giving you a true sonic reference for mixing.

You might think that this level of mix precision comes at a high price. But thanks to a powerful new ultra-efficient amplifier (actually two of them, since these are biamplified systems), we're able to bring you high definition, non-fatiguing monitoring at prices so low they're downright silly. But don't let the cost fool you: The TR series monitors are filled with time-tested Event technology, and designed by the same engineering team behind our full line of critically acclaimed monitors.
