Sound: With previous setups I just couldn't get the overtones and knocking out of the heads. After trying three different bass head configurations I finally hit it with this combo! Really didn't have to do much but get the waves out of the head for tuning and added a peddle patch that was it. Feature: I used the larger foam insert right of the bat and it gave me the exact tone I wanted. No pillows or anything needed. Ease of Use: Popped the heads on. Tightened until the waves were out of the head and that was it. Quality: Don't want to give a 10 as I just put them on last night at practice. Seems durable and other reviews have stated the same. Value: Again only owned and played them last night. But really impressed. The sound I've been working on getting for over 6 months. Manufacturer Support: Haven't needed it - Though on the site it said to contact the company directly for returns... The Wow Factor: I'm not all into the sex appeal stuff I just wanted a true bass sound. I replaced the heads with identical color. Overall: If the heads work out as other reviews have stated. This will be a long relationship.

zZounds has verified that this customer bought this product from us. "Evans EMAD batter/resonant package is a great value."

Sound: This is a great batter/resonant head package. The extra foam ring allows you to custom muffle the batter head and the built in mic port is great for miking through the resonant head. Feature: The extra foam ring for the batter head is great. Also, it is designed so that you don't need to remove the head...pretty cool. Ease of Use: If you play drums...you can change a drumhead. Quality: I only gave this a low mark because the package had 2 batter heads. I'm guessing this was an error on Evans part, but Zzounds made it right. They sent me a resonant head and told me to keep the extra batter head. Value: I think this was a good value for both heads. The Wow Factor: The fact that you can change the foam ring without taking the head off is an excellent design. Overall: This should last like most bass drumheads.

Style of Music: Rock, Blues, R & B.
