"if dave plays it than I'll play it. dave mustaine rules"

Feature:
the only knock on this guitar is there is no case included in the deal, that sucks.but you can buy the custom case just about anywere else.I give this a 9 anyway because of the flushmount locking straplocks you can really thank dave mustaine for that one.I don't know anyone who offers that.and of course the tone pros2 and sperzal tuners A++

Quality:
first off its neck through and string through body thats quality in itself. and with the hardware thats already included A+ obviously esp version outdoes ltd by a long shot but this is very quality to say the least.the body and neck is korean or made in japan. but hardware usa all the way.for what youre paying it doesnt get much better than this guitar really!!

Value:
let me assure you this was well thought out by esp and dave mustaine himself. he's the only reason this V was started again by the company and they chose the right guy to compliment them.he could have picked anyone and when you purchase this beauty you will no why.

Desirability:
well I dont look for sex appel in objects.but if you have a kick ASS appeal then this one does the job baby.Vs rule metal anyway.

Sound:
seymour duncan jb and jazz set pickups are great for any rock or metal style you can get crunch out of almost any amp.the pickups are simple but compliment the sound and guitar exeptionly well.

Support:
no need so far

Overall:
the only way I would upgrade is when I get the esp dv8 instead of the ltd that is when I save mega bucks but this is worthy for the long haul live or nerd style in your bedroom.

From Our Catalog
The ESP LTD DV8-R was designed to suit Dave Mustaine's own inimitable style and taste. The LTD Signature Series DV8-R features neck-thru-body construction, Seymour Duncan JB and Jazz humbuckers, a TonePros bridge (strings thru the body), and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with a signature 8-ball inlay at the first fret. Its large frets make for easy playability and Sperzel locking tuners ensure tuning stability. Other features include a mahogany neck & body, black hardware, 2 volume knobs, 1 tone knob, and a 3-way pickup selector switch.

ESP Dave Mustaine LTD DV8-R Pickups
JB: A completely balanced coil configuration produces great harmonics and a high output with just the right blend of sustain and distortion. It's the best of both worlds: from sweet warm tones to raw rock 'n' roll.

Jazz: Delivers an accurate, clear tone for fast runs. The brighter sound has slightly less output and is a good match with most pickups.

TonePros Locking Bridge System
A simple concept that no one thought of until TonePros, the system features set screws on either side of the bridge and stop tailpiece. Because they secure solidly in place, intonation and tuning are more accurate-the bridge never falls off. Sustain is better, too, since all of the parts in the system are locked in place and become one with the guitar body.

Dunlop Flushmount Straplocks
Dave uses the to keep his straps from coming off during heated performances. They'll leave your straps fastened during the most active performances, and their flush mounting means they won't stick out and get in the way.
