A Real Les Paul at a Much Lower Price
Do you pick up a Les Paul electric guitar and instantly feel like a rock star? Of course you do! But then you look at the price tag and instantly remember that you're not getting a five-figure check from ASCAP every month. Never fear--Epiphone is here! The sound and feel of an Epiphone Les Paul is virtually identical to the Gibson-branded Les Paul. In fact, the most noticeable difference between an Epiphone and a Gibson is that the price of the Epiphone is lower--to the tune of about two thousand bucks. And the Epiphone is a real Les Paul, not a cheap knock-off that just happens to be the same shape as a Les Paul. If you see Paul's name on the headstock, it's the real deal.
The Les Paul
In a way, the history of the Epiphone Les Paul goes back to 1939, before Gibson started making their famous guitars. When Les built his solid body electric guitar prototype, known as The Log, he built it out of Epiphone parts (well, Epiphone parts and a length of 4x4 lumber that he found out by the railroad tracks).
The Epiphone Advantage
Since the 1950s, Epiphone has been a subsidiary of Gibson. With access to the original specs, they continue to build their own version of these classic guitars and a fraction of the cost. All the famous features are there: the solid mahogany neck, the rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays, the set neck joint for maximum stability, the distinctive arched maple top, and most importantly, that Les Paul sound. When you plug in your Epiphone Les Paul and play that opening riff from The Beatles "Revolution," people will know that you're playing a Les Paul, thanks to the Alnico Classic Humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. They just won't know that you paid hundreds of dollars, not thousands, to own one!
The Standard Plus
If your tastes run a little more refined than the basic look of the Standard model, this guitar adds a Plus top with several finish options to choose from. The figured wood grain shines through on the Translucent Amber and Translucent Blue versions, and the gleaming Honeyburst, vintage-style Sunburst, and fiery Heritage Cherry Sunburst look amazing under the lights up on stage. With Epiphone, you get the look, the feel, and the sound you've always wanted. Don't let the price fool you: it's the real thing!
If you can handle everything about the Les Paul except the price, check this out. Engineers designed this modern classic with the arched top and fast neck of the best Les Pauls. It has an arched, figured curly Maple, carved top in faded sunburst finishes for that great LP look. And like all Les Pauls, features a solid glued neck joint for great sustain and stability. These guitars are built to 100% Gibson specifications. Since 1910 Epiphone has been building quality instruments and this Les Paul Standard will only enhance their great reputation. These transparent finishes are exceptionally beautiful!
The Les Paul guitar is synonymous with Rock and Roll. No other guitar gives you the power, the sustain and the sound of a Les Paul. If it's got Les Paul's signature on the headstock, it's the real thing... Accept no substitutes! Authorized by Gibson USA!
