Epifani PS115 Bass Cabinet (400 Watts, 1x15")

Epifani's PS115 bass cabinet delivers the thumping lows of the '60s and '70s through a 15" driver housed within a super-rugged 17-ply Baltic birch enclosure.

The PS Series cabinets were designed and built with the same commitment to sonic detail and quality construction as the award winning UL Series speakers. Tuned for a more "classic" tone than the UL Series, they deliver thick lows with a musically crisp edge. Only the best conventional materials were used in construction: 17 ply Baltic Birch cabinets, polypropylene capacitors in the crossovers, Neutrik SpeakOn connectors, steel magnet drivers made exclusively for Epifani in the USA, steel recessed handles and high impact locking corners.

The punch of a 15 inch driver is unmistakable - it's the classic sound of the electric bass. The PS115 cabinet was tuned especially for those players who loved the classic bass sounds of the 60's and 70's but need the sophistication of today's technology. Coupled with the PS210 or another PS115, this cabinet will shake your booty and then some.

Out of the box the cab sounds too bright. I finally found the correct position for the adjustable horn tweeter control in the back of the cab, I have the level set very low as the horn is very strong. After playing for a few hours the 15 inch speaker began to break in and sound smoother and deeper. Playing along to some music CD the amp blended in exceptionally well, very clear and pleasant sounding through my 100 watt Marshall tube amp and a Squire Classic Vibe Jazz bass. I plan to use this cab with the TC Electronics Classic 450 watt mini bass head which weight less than 9 pounds! The cab handles 400 watts. This cab is fairly large and heavy. The covering is very nice actually, its not tolex but its better than the covering on the SWR Working Pro series of combos.
